When is supply going to get out and PT like the ATC guys waiting for field training?

2018-10-11 14:13:19 UTC

Etc etc

2018-10-11 14:13:25 UTC

I see what you are saying but if we signed a contract to uphold the best physical standards, it would force the troops to work harder.

2018-10-11 14:14:07 UTC

I personally don't want to get fat behind a desk, that's for sure. I went through that already.

2018-10-11 14:14:57 UTC

hahha im in that process over last 3 years 😛

2018-10-11 14:15:05 UTC

but i mean

2018-10-11 14:15:16 UTC

if you need to get your jpob done...to me that is prioreity over evertything else

2018-10-11 14:15:21 UTC

wtf keyboard

2018-10-11 14:16:23 UTC

True, but you are a Airman/Marine/Soldier/Sailor first.

2018-10-11 14:17:58 UTC

Again I think applicable to a certain branch more than the others hhaha

2018-10-11 14:18:25 UTC

The warrior spirit isnt talked about in the other branches like it is in the marines. maybe my lack of perspective and my obvious bias but i mean

2018-10-11 14:18:43 UTC

in my experience with the other branches, the same espirit de corps isnt fostered in the same way

2018-10-11 14:19:02 UTC

I mean in job school i was told "If yu havent killed something today you are wrong."

2018-10-11 14:19:29 UTC

I dont think youd hear that in the air force or navy school room

2018-10-11 14:19:47 UTC

whats this got to do with the weight issue? its that mentality.

2018-10-11 14:20:09 UTC

That what I call "warrior spirit." It sounds super cheesy and I hate using it but its true

2018-10-11 14:20:45 UTC

But when you have a warrior spirit of "I am a killer and I am here to kill their killers so they cant hurt our non killers" tyou train harder. You work harder. The standards arent even a thought in your head.

2018-10-11 14:21:05 UTC

That spirit is like frowned on in certain branches and specific jobs

2018-10-11 14:21:35 UTC

My wife's job lacked that warrior spirit and if anything was sympathetic to what i perceive as opfor (in her instance the syrian operators on both sides)

2018-10-11 14:21:49 UTC

Ex

2018-10-11 14:21:53 UTC

Lolz

2018-10-11 14:22:02 UTC

you cant be willing to train to kill the enemy if you fucking "feel bad" for the enemy

2018-10-11 14:22:31 UTC

I "feel bad" they were raised as barbarian inbred morons but that wont stop me from delivering 5.56 to their CNS NDA

2018-10-11 14:22:38 UTC

And yes. EX wife hahah

2018-10-11 14:22:41 UTC

VERY ex

2018-10-11 14:23:11 UTC

😉 lolz just checking.

2018-10-11 14:24:19 UTC

I see where you are getting at. Make the standards conform to the job or task it is applied. That is a great case you got there. But how will that help a 'desk jockey' who gets sedentary?

2018-10-11 14:24:42 UTC

It wont

2018-10-11 14:24:50 UTC

And that is their direct supervisors responsibility

2018-10-11 14:24:59 UTC

When i see a fat marine i look at their sergeant

2018-10-11 14:25:05 UTC

and iof the sergant is fat i look at their ssgt

2018-10-11 14:25:10 UTC

and if the ssgt is fat....get what im saying?

2018-10-11 14:25:37 UTC

If sergeant isnt fat and their marine is, then wtf sergeant why is your marine fat but you look like an extra in 300?

2018-10-11 14:25:53 UTC

also i gotta say

2018-10-11 14:26:05 UTC

in MOST parts of mil if youre the fat guy, you are told youre a shit bag constantly

2018-10-11 14:26:26 UTC

i failed my weight checks for last 2 years I was in, still aced my PFT/CFT and STILL got told I was a shit bag by people I was literally out performing

2018-10-11 14:26:39 UTC

Sorry string bean but my srtocky block build makes pull ups a breeze.

2018-10-11 14:27:19 UTC

They need to get rid of BMI charts.

2018-10-11 14:28:58 UTC

Alot of people your stature usually outperform a taller or bigger person.

2018-10-11 14:30:00 UTC

Very true that a higher ranked NCO or officer needs to keep their men/women in check and make sure they are in top physical performance. I agree.

2018-10-11 14:47:56 UTC

Interesting fact: Coast Guard boot camp was designed my the USMC and the Marine Corps supplied DI’s to the Coast Guard for a while.
