Okay the Chinese government allows imports because it benefits them and the citizens of China
however, THIS time they can just turn that manufacturing base inwards
just like the US did after WWII
not benefits; serves a purpose
They have too many people to do that tho they don’t produce enough food and other resources to do that to
So basically I’m not primitive
Plus now they have more then a billion people
they KILLED more than HALF of their children in a generation

they will demand the US give china whatever it wants or have the heads of their politicans on a silver platter
It’s not about the citizen going hungry per se it’s about how the Chinese economy is dependent upon trade and if they were to cut off from the rest of the world they would b hurting themselves much more then any other group
the economy is important WHY?
in the SHORT-TERM
It’s how countries express their power
which is why they will NOT do so until the west does it to THEMSELVES
The west would never cut off trade it’s integral to the western civilization
the US prints more and more USD and china quietly stockpiles it
matching their currency to ' hide' the inflation
they finance their development and the west keeps doing it assuming everything is fine
china knows all it needs to do is buy time
that is why they buy both assets and debt
you use deflation of assets to hide inflation of currency
destroying buying power but not letting on the underlying bubble
as long as the US thinks 'nothing to see here' the longer the will keep up the charafe
So u think the nations top economics analysts aren’t ‘aware’ of this
