Only needed to hold the idea for a split second for neccessary processing of the concept.
that's wholly untrue for a majority of the population i am going to assume
@UnScottable you can press X until the button breaks, doesn't change the fact i can't remember shit
@Holo for most people yes
Also, a bunch of various tie ins of concepts.. like "Give a man a fish, feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish, feed him for life." And so on.
what did i make you visualize earlier
you made me visualize a penis pie, however i can't remember what exactly i 'saw'
AH HAH
AHHHHHHH HAH!
<:smugon:512048583806025739>
you're literally pointing to the wave pool and exclaiming your point while your back is turned to the ocean
In the moment of the mention of fish, many links to the concept came to mind. >.> Data points are all links in a large web in my head.
maybe i like the wave pool
maybe i do too
<:why:462286147473637407>
too deep bruh
it's just that stupid rainbow fish
if you ask me to think of a fish i just grab whatever fucking image comes to mind first
and then it's stuck unless you change the input variables
but even then i only know what i saw
i can't 'see' it
you're literally telling me to 'suck it up'
it's a literal brain condition you know
i can't just close my eyes and think really hard to fix it
No, I'm saying figure a way to work around it.
yeah i have
memorization is bullshit
Well, no. It's a useful skill.
i can't deny it is but in some areas more than others
True.
if i position myself in such a way that i never have to memorize anything
then the problem goes away yes?
I'm a code monkey, so instead of memorizing code and tricks, i just remember where i used something similar
then i can look at that and extrapolate
It's avoided for sure, but ameliorated? No, it's evaded.
my memory is a pile of shit, but my extrapolation skills are rather extravagent
i can work through things rather easily and given only a few details i can make a wider picture
instead of memorizing how to do specifics i focus on 'how' to perform actions
Interesting.
