I mean

2019-11-05 17:28:04 UTC

The EU don't want a no-deal either. But sadly the PM has been unable to threaten the EU with one.

2019-11-05 17:28:14 UTC

The left in your country tied his hands

2019-11-05 17:28:24 UTC

You're making my point. Even the UK is so far left that free enterprise and basic civil rights are outside the Overton Window.

Also how do you expect to negotiate without no deal as an option? If I go to a car salesman and start with, "regardless of how we haggle I will not leave without buying an automobile" he's going to rape me on the price.

2019-11-05 17:28:34 UTC

Yall can only blame yourselves for that, lib dem and labour are german shills

2019-11-05 17:28:37 UTC

Ironically, the conservatives have empowered the opposition through the fixed term parliaments act @Tiberius

2019-11-05 17:28:46 UTC

All of the Brexit issue comes from that one act.

2019-11-05 17:29:06 UTC

Where the PM is unable to call a general election due to Parliament needing a 2 / 3 majority to support it.

2019-11-05 17:29:22 UTC

Thats just your anti-democratic roots speaking

2019-11-05 17:29:31 UTC

And in action

2019-11-05 17:29:37 UTC

That's poor Conservative planning in action right there.

2019-11-05 17:29:37 UTC

I remember Boris was forced to ask for an extension by law... Rushed into existence so he couldn't just wait for the deadline to end it all.

2019-11-05 17:29:44 UTC

It was mainly a conservative policy.

2019-11-05 17:30:02 UTC

The queen should just dissolve parliament

2019-11-05 17:30:04 UTC

Funilly enough in 2017 they ran saying they would remove the legislation if they got a majority.

2019-11-05 17:30:18 UTC

We have free enterprise? In most fields. @Jym

2019-11-05 17:30:25 UTC

So they recognized a mistake and decided they want to fix it

2019-11-05 17:30:34 UTC

Unless you want to teach a pug to heil hitler

2019-11-05 17:30:48 UTC

Or report the muslim grooming gang next door

2019-11-05 17:31:01 UTC

Or not get run over by peaceful trucks <:pepelaugh:544857300179877898>

2019-11-05 17:31:02 UTC

Racist... That is a beautiful part of their culture!

2019-11-05 17:31:18 UTC

Meh, they brought in legislation which they should have never brought in at all. Then it came to bite them in the ass and they're looking to remove it after it's hurt them.

2019-11-05 17:31:30 UTC

The dems did that here

2019-11-05 17:31:47 UTC

Hows that filibuster removal working for you democrats <:pepelaugh:544857300179877898>

2019-11-05 17:32:32 UTC

What's also quite funny is that a majority of the country support some form of proportional representation and more parties are starting to support it. BXP, Lib Dems, SNP, etc. But the big two obviously want to keep the status quo and oppose it.

2019-11-05 17:32:53 UTC

I mean

2019-11-05 17:33:08 UTC

Labour and other hard leftist groups all have the same values

2019-11-05 17:33:16 UTC

Only they should have representation

2019-11-05 17:33:17 UTC

I legitimately would vote Labour if they supported PR. I would hate the years they're in office, but it would revitalise our democracy in a way that is needed.

2019-11-05 17:33:32 UTC

Because your country needs blackouts again

2019-11-05 17:33:54 UTC

The country needs more social spending, it needs nationalisation of some sectors and it needs a change in the way democracy is ran

2019-11-05 17:34:01 UTC

Hell PG&E are doing it when the wind sneezes

2019-11-05 17:34:18 UTC

Sounds like commie propoganda to me but okay

2019-11-05 17:34:36 UTC

We nationalized education

2019-11-05 17:34:54 UTC

And now have results on par with second or even some third world countries

2019-11-05 17:35:09 UTC

🤷 Shortages in the NHS come from a lack of funds, water, energy, post and rail need to be nationalised again and PR is needed so we can actually get rid of the big two parties and get some smaller ones in

2019-11-05 17:35:37 UTC

Break up the big special intereat tribes into smaller ones you mean

2019-11-05 17:35:40 UTC

Hay! Again... Greatest third world economy. Give California some credit on top of the trash heap.

2019-11-05 17:35:46 UTC

You'll never get anything done

2019-11-05 17:35:57 UTC

California gets no credit

2019-11-05 17:36:11 UTC

Tech and agriculture built california, and more agriculture than tech
