let me ask you
what exactly
do you think
they fed
the animals?
grass
you cant graze in the winter
mongols didn't eat vegetables
this was before farming
you dont need to be able to farm to eat plants
like before we grew plants in a serious amount
or to know which plants to feed your animals
they must have kept hay then
it would depend on the region and climate
Nomadic herders moved seasonally.
they didn't even have copper at this point
they were herding cattle in the stone age
anyways early humans wouldve spent a lot of time picking fruit and eating it
they also harvested wild grains
but the time investment of plants vs animals, animals win out in terms of food for time
i mean we wiped out most large animals
@Lucienne d'Anwyl we are Hunter - Gatherers you ninny.
There are proteins that we need that are simply not available in plants in any significant amount.
All of our great ape relatives actively hunt. (Even gorillas will eat meat opportunistically)
Also, meat is the number one source of easy calories in the wild. Even horses will slurp up an egg or baby bird if they happen to come across a nest.
@ArmouredHeart i didnt say people only ate plants you tard
i said they didnt primarily eat meat
Little late but yeah if you take the expensive piss by itself you get like 1% of it and it's expensive piss.
But if you take it with a meal instead you get a hell of a lot more of it and it's no longer expensive piss, it's now actually what it's supposed to be.
Humans ate mostly meat until agriculture
meat is only an easy source of calories opportunistically
if you factor in calories consumed while hunting
plants become much more attractive
🤷
Our meat consumption has been on a decline
Meat is healthier
our meat consumption has been on an increase for quite some time
xD
wild plants don't provide enough food for large populations
compared to say ancient times
Decrease*
when agriculture was firmly established
increase
meat consumption dropped when we started farming plants in large amounts
