any time i feel like my current situation is shitty i thank the lord i wasnt freezing my ass off in russia, while sick as a dog, and being bombed by the russians

Anytime I was in the shit, i just told myself that millions have gone through so much more than I did

the more i read about ww2, the more i think that it was just a big waste of human life and uneeded suffering by all sides

i dont care what side

World War I even more so

even worse

millions upon millions of men where slaughtered for no real good reason

most of them were just average dude like you and me

maybe a small handful were turely awful people

truely

many of them became awful people becasue of the war

Im glad I made it out with all limbs and some sanity left

but i think the work would be better off today if all theose brave men didnt die and instead lived on and had famlies

all the strong men died through ww1 and ww2

Our God is an awesome God

only the weak and the feeble stayed back home

which explains the masses of weak men in our society today

they come from weak families

many of the stong and brave families dided off

died

becasue of ww1 and ww2

I used to be upset that I went to Iraq three times and didnt do at least one of those trips to afghanistan - i wanted to say i fought jihadis on two different fronts

Id like to think if I lived back then, I wouldve raised my hand to fight

But wouldve been much scarier decision

i would have fought in ww2

for any side really

depending on where i was

in the world

Mightve had no choice

and i would have probally died

most men had no choice

which is why i laugh when women say thay have it worse

WWI was worse than WW2 in some aspects.. Stalingrad and some of the eastern front battles were intense in scale and scope, and understandably so, but the things I’ve read about WWI... Verdun, for example.. Holt shit.

listening to the war storeis of my grandfather and his buddies when i was young, painted ww2 as this heroic effort to destoy evil

but the more i learn the more i realize it was just an excuse for all counties to release their hounds

vurdun and the somme were horrible battles
