Cease as in take your account?
yup
Not illegal, if its in the TOS and you sign the TOS it isn't illegal because you agreed to it
Agreed to shower room improvement
Nope, because even though things might have been signed, you're the creator of those and you have absolute rights on them (especially if original content)
no contract can break that
Extract your self immanence
@Samaritan™ not how that works, TOS are almost ALWAYS thrown out of court once challenged
there is so much shit in those that you actually arent allowed to agree to
Right wing extremist
Hmmm
I don't know enough about this, I'll mention it to ma later
He's the one who always talks about the courts and TOS
hot
@killsode-slugcat yeah, it's like that episode of south park where people get kidnapped to create the human centipad because they agreed to the TOS without knowing what's inside.
They can't do that
bretty cute
ngl
The thing is I do think they are allowed to basically get away with anything because you know Facebook literally copies your contact list straight from your phone and then sells that data
Its why I have all my mates work buddies suddenly showing up in my Facebook recommended tab because their numbers are in my mates phone and his in mine
And they have facebook accounts on their phones not even connected with the number or anything like twitter that requires a phone number
conspiracy
Its a useful tool if you want to be Machiavellian with it even as a user
but if you allow them to search in your contacts, well, you claim it's not private and can use it to ameliorate their algorithm
You accept by accepting the popup that comes before you install the app and the TOS and other disclaimers
You go to court and they just say well there is a disclaimer and you CHOOSE to use it despite knowing what it'd do
you know the "Do you allow this app to access your contacts etc"
Yep
Never thought about that until after I learned this
the things one can do to another persons eyeholes

doesnt change the fact that its not enforceable
regret nothing
like instagram or twitter going "anything you post here is our copyright"
They can do that as a publisher
some weird copyright BS happen while i was away ?
@Samaritan™ still not enforceable
Because if you couple with a publisher to publish your say book you can give up all rights
***its thrown out as soon as it gets to court***
