Eh, I wouldn't say women are incompetent rules as a whole

2019-11-18 13:46:34 UTC

there are a few competent ones

2019-11-18 13:46:35 UTC

Individual women have been competent but women broadly don't seem suited to it.

2019-11-18 13:46:37 UTC

a few in Japan

2019-11-18 13:46:39 UTC

a few in Egypt

2019-11-18 13:46:57 UTC

@SufferBuddy i mean they can rule but its usually already setup by men

2019-11-18 13:47:03 UTC

They certainly never emerged as the natural rulers.

2019-11-18 13:47:05 UTC

loremaster that means you too

2019-11-18 13:47:23 UTC

Elizabeth was pretty competent

2019-11-18 13:47:27 UTC

Jingu for example was fairly notable

2019-11-18 13:47:28 UTC

the rulers in japan and egypt were already setup by men

2019-11-18 13:47:37 UTC

she was fairly successful in Korea IIRC

2019-11-18 13:47:41 UTC

@Engineered Eldritch Catgirl That's because building things doesn't come natural to them, it's not in there nature.

2019-11-18 13:47:44 UTC

and the minority does not set the rule for the majorty.

2019-11-18 13:47:54 UTC

Most male rulers were uneventful. Competent in obscurity.

Female rulers tend either towards brilliance or total recklessness.

2019-11-18 13:48:03 UTC

Of course, there's plenty who fucked it up royally

2019-11-18 13:48:06 UTC

again its men who rule to keep women safe, thats just how it is

2019-11-18 13:48:09 UTC

@fvriovs basically yeah

2019-11-18 13:48:12 UTC

Mostly recklessness.

2019-11-18 13:48:25 UTC

@fvriovs what like fucking hillary?

2019-11-18 13:48:27 UTC

Power really goes to their head easy

2019-11-18 13:48:28 UTC

Though I find it kinda funny that there were more Empresses of Japan than female Pharoahs

2019-11-18 13:48:30 UTC

LMAO!

2019-11-18 13:48:48 UTC

again loremaster, it was already setup by men

2019-11-18 13:48:58 UTC

yeah tbf

2019-11-18 13:49:01 UTC

It has always been men who emerged as the ruling sex though. I think it's because men tend to be more anti-social and this is a good trait for assertiveness.

2019-11-18 13:49:06 UTC

They tend to overdo it with show of power, I'd say

2019-11-18 13:49:11 UTC

a women can rule so long as men already set it up for them

2019-11-18 13:49:11 UTC

but those female Empresses setup stuff for men

2019-11-18 13:49:14 UTC

<:BIGBRAIN:501101491428392991>

2019-11-18 13:49:19 UTC

Penis envy perhaps.

2019-11-18 13:49:21 UTC

no

2019-11-18 13:49:31 UTC

that is the minority and doesn't fucking matter

2019-11-18 13:49:39 UTC

don't get the "know how to use your sword, but keep it sheathed" thing as much as men do, on average

2019-11-18 13:50:09 UTC

The most influential women in history were the ones likely advising the power, not becoming it themselves.

2019-11-18 13:50:15 UTC

Never trust a female Asian ruler

2019-11-18 13:50:16 UTC

women usually make for weak rulers anyways with a exception for a few but that is still a tiny amount

2019-11-18 13:50:23 UTC

well yeah

2019-11-18 13:50:38 UTC

but in their defense, there's only ever been a handful of female rulers

2019-11-18 13:50:40 UTC

Because the Japanese Imperial position has been irrelevant for most of history.

2019-11-18 13:51:01 UTC

You can see this in tabletop games too @leavethisbotnet . Female players tend to be overly agressive in situations where it isnt a good idea. At least in most groups ive had.
