Awesome

2018-11-09 15:02:16 UTC

they live out in the country so they have the room for it

2018-11-09 15:02:22 UTC

I honestly love farm animals in general, I just love chickens esp

2018-11-09 15:02:31 UTC

That's so nice

2018-11-09 15:02:45 UTC

I like how the farm lands look

2018-11-09 15:03:16 UTC

very serene

2018-11-09 15:03:22 UTC

I think animals should be killed humanely at least

2018-11-09 15:03:31 UTC

Fed well & given a good life

2018-11-09 15:03:42 UTC

Then it makes better meat anyway

2018-11-09 15:03:47 UTC

And better eggs

2018-11-09 15:03:56 UTC

for sure

2018-11-09 15:04:40 UTC

when i was in hawaii, we used live pigs for combat first-aid training and PETA was at the base gates protesting - was all over the news

2018-11-09 15:05:07 UTC

the pigs were given anesthesia so they didnt feel anything

2018-11-09 15:05:23 UTC

Oh really? What did they do exactly ?

2018-11-09 15:07:18 UTC

we did tracheotomies, learned how quick-clot once their femoral artery was cut, bandaged shot wounds, various other procedures, i was able to keep my pig alive through a good deal of wounds and damage

2018-11-09 15:08:14 UTC

So it was using them as a way to learn how to deal with common injuries?

2018-11-09 15:08:18 UTC

the tracheotomy procedure was amazing - the pig was losing breath - i was able to use my gerber knife to cut through its throat and give it an airway

2018-11-09 15:08:40 UTC

yeah, training was so realistic

2018-11-09 15:09:03 UTC

Well it does make me sad but at least if they couldn't feel the pain, that's better than nothing

2018-11-09 15:09:28 UTC

they didnt feel anything - but their anatomies are really close to humans

2018-11-09 15:09:50 UTC

That's interesting

2018-11-09 15:10:03 UTC

I could never do it myself

2018-11-09 15:10:09 UTC

I can't even hurt a bug

2018-11-09 15:10:25 UTC

But for some reason, hurting a person would be easier for me
