I think its that and a mix of people in a fallen state to always need a distraction or some sort of static thing to distract them. For example people that can never be by themselves or always needing some sort of media playing on the background. People just can't sit silently. It makes me think of the devil trying to distract you from a naturally occurring silent prayer by making your head think you need something to do/ listen to, someone to be with ect.
