I'm literally at the last shithole of the EU and even I can tell you not only the Swedes, but all of Europe hates her!
Her? PewDiePie lol, not Greta Thurnberg.
Phew
I thought you were talking about the other Swede in the news.
Damn it, those two are more popular than all of their politicians combined, aren't they?
Lol the only Swede right now worth caring about is PewDiePie, or Zlatan Ibrahimovic (if you are a football fan)
People don't know who the prime minister of Sweden is but they know these two.
Lol, the only Swedish people I know are the above two, and probably ABBA, but I don't even remember the name of the people in the band.
Yeah, i know Zlatan but he is a muslim and for us on the Balkans it is a really big deal.
ABBA is the only other group of Swedish people I know lol.
Greta Thurnberg is no Malala, but the whole media seems to think that some oil tycoon put a bullet in her head and made her a climate hero
Hahahahahahaha
The reality is she just hates going to school, this is why she travels the world for climate change.
Literally repeating the same ass words my elementary school textbook talks about climate change.
Let’s just hope Hong Kong makes it out alive without being ploughed down by the Chinese
Best case scenario
I doubt the Chinese will enter in force @S K E L L Y Ivanthenotsoterrible
What's so new and innovative in this girl that everyone's giving her a platform to speak about?
If anything it's a problem with society is that they keep forgetting what's quite obvious and regurgitated facts seem novel ideas now.
Too much media and bad image.
I doubt the Chinese will give any fucks soon
Hong Kong has kinda lost its economic relevance to the Chinese
And it's the image of the PRC, too.
If they just plough it down soon enough all countries will look at it and think twice before giving a hand to the CCP next time.
Neighbouring Shenzhen has developed at a breakneck phase as a financial hub.
It would be bad relations for the Chinese.
Well would you think China would actually do another Tiananmen Square @S K E L L Y Ivanthenotsoterrible
And these bad relations can hurt trade, and if trade is hurt it will strike the CCP in the pockets-exactly where they do NOT WANT it to be.
Maybe, I think they might
This is why they haven't called in the army yet.
What will the Chinese do then
The troops stationed so far in Shenzhen have been APCs with some troops, not exactly PLA regulars I guess tho.
If they didn’t want any bad press they should not of done it in the first place
They will tell them how awful they are, make a bunch of rules the ordinary citizens wouldn't care about and finally they will succeed on an issue or two.
Otherwise this bad press might hurt the economy and the relations with the neighbouring Asian countries.
But unlike say, Xinjiang, for example, the stuff happening in Hong Kong can't be censored as badly as it is in the mainland. It's out for the world to see. I mean freedoms suddenly disappearing in Hong Kong certainly will raise eyebrows.
Uighurs are in the middle of nowhere, literally, and are muslims, too.
While Hong Kong is a busy international city.
They can't just close it off and kill a bunch of people like they usually do.
