Also, I can't remember if it said it in that video but, most natives did not attend residential schools during this period, it was about 30% iirc. Residential schools were never mandatory, schooling was mandatory and many natives didn't have other schools if they lived on reserves.
@Settler's Lament oh okay, thanks, canadian friend sent me that vid saying the schools are showing it all over but wasnt sure what to make of it, did seem a bit hard to believe and the friend was ranting about how the country was covering it up but the government doesnt care and "orange shirt day"
anyone that lives in canada seen anything else like that or conspiracy stuff my friends on about?
He thinks the government is trying to cover up the residential school system? @9th Error
The government right now?
kinda, more like canda is trying to cover up natives being forced to drink "cancer water" and lots of other stuff, and yes right now
but said the government doesnt care, just "Canada" covering it up
idk what they were o about but as i dont live there i dont wanna pick any sides without opinions from other people and what else i can find in news etc.
eh it isnt even picking sides tbh its just weird
oddly tho i dont find it hard to believe cnada would have a problem like murdering natives and not giving them clean water and then covering it up, its clown world after all and canda is the most progressive, lol
He just sounds like a delusional conspiracy nut progressive imo. I've learnt about the residential school system since I was in elementary school, granted that is a recent phenomenon (I'm in my early-to-mid twenties, someone 5-10 years older then me probably would have never heard about it in school). But, the government, and the mainstream media promotes native grievance politics constantly. That video was from the state funding broadcaster, hardly a coverup.
And Indian reserves are autonomous, self-governing entities. Building their local infrastructure isn't the government's job. The government gives them money and they can do what they want with it, some of them are extremely corrupt and because of the autonomy they have the federal government can't do very much about it.
yeh, he seemed perfectly normal till he said that, never thought him 1 for conspiracies, and didnt know that was a state PBC, thanks for the info tho, idk shit about canada or native reserves
Yeah they get over half their money from the government, CBC, Canadian version of the BBC.
And I'm assuming by 'murdering natives' you are referring to the 'missing and murdered indigenous women.' If so that is the most blatantly false of all of those, at least in the way it is portrayed. Granted it was about four years ago I read about this topic but, assuming the info is the same people sized on it because of the supposedly high number murdered and totally unaccounted for native women. And they portrayed this also some sort of racist conspiracy against natives by whity. It is of course true that native women are disproportionately murdered compared to the Canadian average but, that's just a result of the fact that natives have a higher then average crime rate in Canada, and of course most of the people killing those women are native men.
And the 'missing' part is supposed to imply that the racist Canadian police just don't care about dead native women so they don't even properly investigate the case. But, the solve rate was identical for both murders of native women and Canadian women in general, 90%.
okay then, interesting, thanks again, ima try to get some sleep but might bother u some more tomorrow, lol, ill see what else i can find tho, thanks for your help
Okay, no problem. I have a (very small) youtube channel if you are interested in checking it out, I make stuff about history and politics, only one video so far but, I'm not planing on sticking with only Canadian stuff. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCJMaXRtyWZzdr34aPLsQ2bA

So there is a Marxist Leninist party of Canada
I knew I shouldn't have bought the paper this morning.
"Who's afraid of gender-fluid dolls?" The gazette
@RAM II it even got a few votes in my county. Even if it doesn't make anyfucking sense.
Is it illegal to burn Paper?
No. I've had a power outage this morning and that would been a better use of paper.
In My part of Canada as long as there’s no fire ban you can burn what ever you want. As long as what you want to burn is already legal
So you can burn currency, but not CP
I actually haven’t checked
I don’t think I’d have personally burn currency but if a make it to that point I’ll let you know
Let me guess.
Bibles and Torahs are the best thing to burn, but not Qurans.
Doing that will get you executed by Sharia Police.
@SilentSkies Destroying currency is generally illegal.
Apparently, the people that were at the Bernier event on Sunday have been at it for a while.
Never hear about any of this on Canadian MSM.
No shit
I'm just finding Canadian channels, recently that go over Canadian issues. The ones that are easier to find are American.
