not till she kills someone, shapiro, you hack
what a fucking artificial designation
Well if we don't find an alternative to sulfure hexaflouride we are doomed regardless of CO2 and methane emissions.
But sure lets continue to listen to smooth brain activists that tell us to use more and more electricty and produce more SF6

This really needs to be declared a cult
It's fearmongering on a different scale
It really is
I swear to Dog.
..... tracer gas stuff?
what about it?
Also just realized. Rags, SFO, Quartering, Undoomed...
Is Sitch here?
I don't think so
It's 23,500 more effective than CO2 and is mass produced in switch gear to protect against arcing
Maybe
sitch is a good boy
It lasts 3200 years in the atmosphere
SF6 became noted as a problem in the late 90's early 2000's. The introduction of alternates has just recently become an imperative for the EPA and they aren't even pursuing it that much. Most efforts are towards recapture in existing equipment.
huh
Sulfure Hexaflouride is the the most dangerous green house gas and it's in every single piece of electrical switch gear on the planet.
It's manufactured and accidently released.
You can't get rid of fossil fuels without provide an alternate that relies on a more robust electrical grid which means more SF6, which means more production, which means more spills.
Which means every spill into the atmosphere will be there for 3200 years.
clarify 'switch' here please, cuz my civilian-ass brain just keeps thinking light switches, machine shutoffs, and such
medium and high voltage electrical equipment which provide current to your panel and from there to your switch.
So unless you generate your own electricty your relying on that gear. Also with more development in the 2nd and 3rd world there is increased production and dispersed into countries with much more laxed manufacturing safe gaurds.
The EU doesn't even have it on their radar for greenhouse gas reductions.
so is it a matter of finding an alternative resource for these products, or a matter of reforming the manufacture?
Alternatives
Which is being researched by private industry and applications being tested but only the US seems to be making headway. Otherwise it's not advertised as much.
would this be mutually exclusive to reviving our nuclear infrastructure?
You would need it yes.
no, I mean, can we do both, is it compatable
There's no monetary value to retrofiting so the answer is no one knows.
hmmm
It's probably doable just not within a calendar year.
But the problem is outside of the 1st world as we could afford such an enterprise and have the personel skilled to do it.
This is the America that we need
I'm not against the idea of a tank racing league
