Let's not forget we were working to get the Russians kicked out of a port-access contract they were negotiating with Israel at the time.
Yup cause that’s where all our illegals come from guns drugs and “refugees”
So, it's a bit of a quid-pro-quo.
Or, was that the PRC negotiating for port access in Israel, at the time?
We should leave the Middle East to the communists
So they can have more power to artificially control the global supply of oil?
hope its the latter, because fuck me, the devil-deals we sign out of centry-old disputes with the long dead soviets are pissing me off
Or we should leave communism for the Middle-Easterners
We all know their regimes cannot allow for economic diversification.
Regardless of our position of whether to defend the world from communism or not, we can't even defend our own nation from the communists. I think that takes precedent.
That’ll make them more compliant show them the other side of the spectrum
That'd mean too much economic and social freedom for their people, thus they rely upon artificially shortening global oil supply to create an up-tick in revenue from their exports.
Namely, Russia.
More than half of their GDP continues to rely upon oil production. <:pot_of_kek:544849795433496586>
We could focus on getting rid of our communists when we stay out of buissness that’s not our own
It was about 97% leading up to 9/11.
You were involved before 9/11
Big think. It's possible the reason why so many countries feel as if they can safely rely on the global oil markets is because the US is securing them. The perhaps unintended side effect of that commercial "pax americana" may be that the opportunity cost of developing energy self-sufficiency in most countries isn't adequate for them to shake free from the bonds of international oil.
Like when Dubai was like we got oil but didn’t know they had oil
Did I say we were involved before 9/11? Everyone knows we began funding the separatists fighting against the Communist, Soviet-puppet regime of Kabul in Afghanistan, nearly a year before the Soviets invaded on the false-pretense terrorists were flooding into the SU, Ram.
Build Sand Wall
As for the Communist threat, Menace, it isn't the same iteration as the past.
I really think the US should be helping Russia economically. Being the global hegemon is great and all, but it stifles innovation and progress
The threat we face in America is altruism.
You mujahideen funding idiots making your own killer
Literally training osama bin Ladin
Canada should annex russia
And just see if we die
Norway should annex Russia
Even better
We helped Russia economically by giving them foreign aid, and goods shipments after the collapse of the Soviet Union, extending into the early years of the Obama Admin.
Pathological altruism is indeed a key feature of their success, or rather, exploiting it.
Aside from that, our intervention in the Middle East caused a global oil shortage, shifting demand onto Russian exports, which jump-started their recovery process.
See here.
The communists don't need to be controlled or fought. They just need to be ignored, and they'll wander on home
Finland should annex Russia
Helped Canada become the amazing for the first act and shit in the second
The Fins annexing Russia. <:pot_of_kek:544849795433496586>
