These are the two imminent goals here, Leave the EU, Get a written Constitution protecting Free Speech
to say it's better is silly
we have a written constitution
It is
https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/2/26/Jeremy_Corbyn_closeup.jpg Ladies and Gentlemen...
The Electric Lizard.
our constitution is written
Ok, Codified Constitution then
it is
No it isn't
it's just not one document
yes it is
every law in the uk forms part of our constitution
every standard, every rule, all of it
Our constitution is not in any single document it is in a variety of sources, The US one isn't
inc. things outside of law, which is the part people call the unwritten stuff
Ours is uncodified
categorically you're wrong
There one is Codified
It's basic knowledge on the UK constitution
then we can talk more
Just google UK constitution
fantastic
It will come up with writing on how it is Unwritten and Uncodified
but it is codified
And the US is the best example of a Codified Constitution
Where?
What single Document is it in?
Cite it to me
that's not what that means cunt
the first was the magna carta
then it evolved into the whole system
"Most of England's criminal laws have been codified, partly because this enables precision and certainty in prosecution. However, large areas of the common law, such as the law of contract and the law of tort remain remarkably untouched."
We don't use the Magna Carta anymore
We used to
Not anymore
wrong
I think JRM said it best, that the US Constitution is firm but rigid, the UK constitution is flexible but less durable. I'd rather be able to fix the problem and readjust.
the magna carta is still on the books
Rather than toss out the whole system because we're in a tight spot.
