https://www.telegraph.co.uk/politics/2019/10/08/brexit-latest-news-boris-johnson-no-deal-parliament-prorogation/

``Downing Street is preparing for Brexit talks to collapse this week, as a Number 10 source revealed the party intends to fight the next election on a no-deal platform.

In a memo widely believed to be a text message sent by Dominic Cummings, Downing Street warns negotiations will "probably end this week" and that if the deal dies "it won't be revived".

"To marginalise the Brexit Party, we will have to fight the election on the basis of ‘no more delays, get Brexit done immediately'," the memo reads.

It reiterates that the Government has no intention to "negotiate further" and therefore any delay "would be totally pointless".

"They think now that if there is another delay we will keep coming back with new proposals. This won’t happen,"``

it was always going to be no-deal wasn't it

2019-10-08 10:19:35 UTC

or not at all

2019-10-08 10:24:25 UTC

haha wow

2019-10-08 10:26:36 UTC

Hopefully we will get a No Deal then

2019-10-08 10:43:29 UTC

personally, I'm thinking this is just a message to the EU to say, we aren't moving any further

2019-10-08 10:44:01 UTC

No-Deal can still honour the GFA right?

2019-10-08 10:44:11 UTC

to try and get the EU to .. like.. get the message that we want this over with... one way or the other, so if they really in fact do want a deal, this is their last chance

2019-10-08 11:10:01 UTC

Merkel's Reich demands territorial concessions.

2019-10-08 11:11:21 UTC

The EU claims they'll force RoI to break the agreement

2019-10-08 11:11:43 UTC

Since when did the Irish let other people do the talking for them?

2019-10-08 11:12:32 UTC

I'm not sure who it was, but some big guy from EU said that in case of no deal there absolutely will have to be border checks

2019-10-08 11:12:38 UTC

The IRA should start bombing Deautch Beerhalls.

2019-10-08 11:13:32 UTC

Meaning that either they're bluffing, or they intend to force RoI to instate hard border

2019-10-08 11:14:01 UTC

My guess is they're panicking and pulling out as much crap they can since it doesn't appear the surrender act will stop us.

2019-10-08 11:14:29 UTC

Who's going to man the border?

2019-10-08 11:14:37 UTC

Will it be ROI dudes?

2019-10-08 11:14:46 UTC

The moment our government 'took no deal' off the negotiating table it fucked our means to get a good deal.

2019-10-08 11:14:49 UTC

I'm betting it's a bluff

2019-10-08 11:15:00 UTC

no way they'd actually try and force RoI to man the border

2019-10-08 11:15:01 UTC

Does that mean the it will be ROI Border Patrol vs IRA

2019-10-08 11:15:12 UTC

That's a battle I'd like to watch

2019-10-08 11:15:21 UTC

I'll pay 39b to see this happen

2019-10-08 11:15:24 UTC

If they do that, RoI may well end up joining the UK instead

2019-10-08 11:15:25 UTC

EU Army vs IRA

2019-10-08 11:15:58 UTC

RoI can join the UK in becoming a US state.

2019-10-08 11:16:11 UTC

How ironic would that be?

2019-10-08 11:16:16 UTC

It's not like the Irish _love_ the EU all that much, after the repeated referendums they were forced into.

2019-10-08 11:16:42 UTC

I'd actually like to see the UK join the US, not sure if I'd like it to be as a state tho

2019-10-08 11:16:50 UTC

Deep integration maybe

2019-10-08 11:17:07 UTC

But as a state... we just dont agree enough

2019-10-08 11:17:27 UTC

Once we're out and once we've recovered from the fact our government hasn't prepared for this like it should have; I'm sure more nations will follow.

2019-10-08 11:17:48 UTC

I'm sure of it too

2019-10-08 11:17:54 UTC

customs union with US might work

2019-10-08 11:17:55 UTC

Greece being one

2019-10-08 11:18:05 UTC

@leavethisbotnet that I could agree too

2019-10-08 11:18:19 UTC

That's fair wladfa. I find it humorous in the sense that US is the child of the UK, the UK is getting old and needs their children to look after them.

2019-10-08 11:18:56 UTC

I think that metaphor works if you awknowledge the long running regeneration that the UK does
