i can't fault you for that
Some of my friends played a D&D game where it was set 1920s Canada.
Involved a lot of rail travel.
it's just disheartening to me that while most people know what "D&D" is, almost noone seems to know what a "ttrpg" is
and also
i don't even dislike D&D as a whole... just the modern takes on it
Its disheartening that people like you exist because they ruin everything they have interest in via their assholishness and gatekeeping
gatekeeping? fuck off mate
I think he was just sharing an opinion
Literally read anything you've said in the last 5 minutes
old school D&D set out to do one thing and did it well, which was dungeon crawling
That's not gatekeeping
I've been waiting for about 10 minutes for these other ttrpgs and gotten nothing
So
Well. I actually prefer 4th to 3.5, since they simplified all of the autism and let you focus on the roleplay. Never touched 5th. I like advantage-disadvantage system tho.
All I've seen is "your taste is shit and mine is better"
oh, sorry
i felt like i didn't even get make recommendations because the consensus seems to be "If it's not D&D it's not worth our time" :/
Well as i already explained I've got variety in my server
Edge of the empire, whatever the hell this GoT game is
the GoT game system is pretty good
and also, next time if you want to convince me that you're not a D&D-only drone, don't mention pathfinder as being meaningfully different from D&D
*you are turning me into a communist with this elitism*
mind you i don't hate that people play D&D, i hate that they play nothing else
I'm fully aware pathfinder 1.0 is just 3.5 v2
okay
good
2.0 is a tad different mind You
Me and one of my boys has been trying to build our own ttrpg on-and-off for some years now. The main strife is to make battles short and simple without losing the depth. It's a tough balancing act.
But a lot of the mechanics are similar
Thats literally impossible n0v
isn't pathfinder 2 getting woke?
Idk
The dm i had was a tranny who kicked me for using the word trap
So maybe
Holy shit this is autistic
What i really dislike in Dnd is it's like MMO, you progress by killing shit, and that's kinda it.
i've written a ttrpg, and i've got several ideas for other ones @n0vitski
I'm okay not knowing about them
@Deleted User i wouldn't even censor you
