well people shouldn't be wallowing in their emotions. society should make them feel a pressure to conform so they act normal and don't just loaf around feeling sorry for yourself. we live in unprecedented economic prosperity yet everyone is depressed. years ago life was hard and short but people just got on with it. if you have a crippling mental illness ( unable to function ) that's fine but im not interested in a bunch of made up words with made up sugar pill cures " gee i wonder why i am depressed i better take these useless glorified smarties to make me feel better " all the while laying around watching tv all day and eating junk food. the lack of self awareness is staggering
