I am reading about 'Historical Materialism'. It observes that when social progress is strangled, a revolution will occur. Somehow people like me are involved when this happens. Is this always due to class consciousness?

Or just general hatred towards the ruling class?

My problem is: why be a Communist if revolution is inevitable anyway?

There is something about my old patterns of thinking that is having trouble understanding this.
