It's true, how do you feed 7 billion people or give them jobs etc. I'd like to quote the matrix to bring up a point[1]. I'm not sure if the amount of people we have on earth right now is good for us or the planet. What do we do with all our trash and do you know how much junk there is floating in orbit around earth? What about all the nuclear waste with a half life of 1000 years or something? Even the Rusty patched bumble bee population is down 87% putting it for the first time on the endangered spices list[2]. We all want to advance our civilization for the good but there is the great filter problem[3] which means we will destroy ourselves before we ever reach the stars or beyond etc. To have the best chance at continuing our species I think we need to be the best we can be. Nevertheless there are so many dumb people who do not care about anything worth while or beneficial to humanity, you see this in you daily lives.
Should we try and "breed"only the best
and most capable humans? This brings up the question of eugenics[4]. On the other hand the doom's day clock is at 2 1/2 min. to midnight[5] (which it has not been that close since 1953) and we have US troops not far from the border of Russia[6] plus a whole slew of other problems i'm sure you already know about.

As for eugenics perhaps we should have the top geneticist and other relevant fields figure out how we can have the best people we can as to avoid certain destruction and death. And we do see that humanity is heading for a bad time pretty soon to put it lightly. Now will this be a chaotic mess of destruction or will it be a controlled demolition to ensure the survival of our spices? Are we doomed to hate our fellow man and want to kill him, for god's sake Cain and Able is one of the oldest stories we have, so if that is the case, knowing this should we not chose the latter? If any other sound and exceptional alternative are given wee should gladly take them. Now this is jut one view point and I do not hold it as the "only way" but merely as an observation.
