orthodoxy has quite a lot of symbology relating to death though
so
blasphemous, but not too out of place, really.
That's what I like about Orthodoxy. I have spoken to other converts who have shown me this, about the remembrance of death everyday. It is very healthy and realistic.
this is an icon commemorating the unborn. think abortion, basically.
This particular music piece is the worst kind of blasphemy though. It uses lyrics from Russian Orthodox liturgy and replaced the word 'God' with 'I', and adds demonic screams to verses. This is much worse than regular blasphemy that is just profanity.
I won't post anymore.
it's good to be reminded of death, as per orthodoxy, anyways.
Unique to it also. I believe this is apart of what drove Luther crazy, apart of other things.
I think it's iconic of "Civic Religion" to simply *forget* death even exists..
it's good to remember, psychologically. you get to appreciate the beauty of life more.
I agree 100% in my experience. There is a certain clarity you achieve when contemplating the plain reality before us. Too often the comforts of life shield us from the realisations we need.
commodities...
you know, people have no worries when they get home, really.
even with air conditioning, they don't have to worry about something as minor as the temperature.
I was raised in a poor household. Really, you don't remember the discomfort. You remember the good times.
it is better to be poor anyways
I mean from a christian standpoint sure
Not from AnCap standpoint.
modern amenities breed nihilism
They do.
the contentness provided is what justifies the status quo
are you going to start arguing for the noble savage as well
so the question really becomes if this is even reversible
or if it even can change
@LahodeNo We already do. Well, we argue for agrarianism.
Agriculture society.
@Deleted User I don't think it is reversible.
ew
gross
Why ew?
primitivits
No.
agrarianism =/= primitivism
Not Primitivist.
no well you accept the level of technology that living in an agrarian society gives you
Not accept. It is based on local materials.
