@sleeping zzz By changing our borders. USSR annexed our eastern parts and gave it to Lithuania, Ukraine, Belarus. Then they pushed westwards and the formerly Slavic lands of Germany were given to us on the Oder-Neisse line (originally Slavs lived to the east of the Elbe). Out of those only Silesia and Pomerania still had Poles.
