@Deleted User "Iran seems to want an independant syria."
Yes, Iran wishes to limit US influence in the region and hates Israel
Obama's plan...
Syria is a buffor state aginst Israel AND Turkey
@Sn0w ❄ Funded ISIS, FSA, Taliban, and al-qaeda.
A regional contender
Call it as it is
Funfact: The FSA is now run by an al-qaeda member.
y, fund all them "innocent civilians"
It was the Jews
so does anyone here wanna play hearts of iron 4
I was gonna play it with CPR but I had to leak the photos
Oy vey, shut it down! Th Goyi know, the Goyim know!
Oy Vey!
>When the 7th terrorist group you sent against syria falls apart so you fund kurdistan but then iraq declares war on it again so now you have to fund kurdish insurgents again
Muricans are just sowing dissent at this point. S'disgusting but it's probably a sound strategy tbh...
It was back in the cold war days.
At least for as long as they cannot realistically afford another intervention
The thing is that most do not support an invasion of the middle east.
you ever notice how it seems like people from certain european countries have aspergers
And there is also the fact that russia is supporting syria, and iran has nuclear weapons.
@Deleted User By saying "afford" I didn't necessairly mean just mony - I meant all kinds of resources. Political support for the action aswell.
@Deleted User Russia cannt win a proxy war against the US so far from it's borders if the US commits. Iran is a bit more of a problem 'cause it's closer by, but if they actually use nukes no one in the world will object to sending a dozen of ICBMs their way so they won't do it
The Persians are no fanatics
They are actually a relativley reasonable actor
much more so than most Sunni countries tbh
No, I mean that if the US invaded syria, there would likely be a war between them, russia, and iran.
NAh fam
Russia would back down
Syria is sunni you know
Iran would back down
At least call it the Khaleej
@Sn0w ❄ Mhm.
They'd take the stance that the US is waisting money on a far flung oversees operation and they are not. Das enought of a wi
n
@Apollo'sJest That remains to be seen.
But the issue is that there is a risk of that happening.
I mean sure
But seems unlikey s'all I'm sying - the Ruskies have very little to gain
and war's EXPENSIVE
not to mention the prospect of MAD
If there was a risk of iran firing a nuke at the US carriers and killing most of their invasion force, then they would not want to risk that at all.
