How does a loving God allow evil?

2017-06-07 07:11:06 UTC

Because it was man's fault that evil exists. God would not be just if he didn't allow man to be responsible for his actions.

2017-06-07 07:11:40 UTC

God is loving because he gave us a way to gain salvation though, this was the purpose of Christ's sacrifice.

2017-06-07 07:12:50 UTC

So God is just and merciful. Not totally and only loving.

2017-06-07 07:13:06 UTC

God is perfect in every way

2017-06-07 07:13:14 UTC

Perfect love, perfect justice, perfect mercy

2017-06-07 07:13:28 UTC

But evil exists.

2017-06-07 07:13:41 UTC

Evil exists due to man's actions.

2017-06-07 07:14:02 UTC

When God created the world there was no evil.

2017-06-07 07:14:03 UTC

Yes but what loving God allows this?

2017-06-07 07:14:14 UTC

He gave us free will.

2017-06-07 07:14:26 UTC

and free will comes with inherent responsibility

2017-06-07 07:14:28 UTC

>authority is not responsible for bad things code

2017-06-07 07:14:43 UTC

So God gave us free will, even though it leads to evil.

2017-06-07 07:14:57 UTC

How about things not caused by us like cancer

2017-06-07 07:15:10 UTC

Original sin.

2017-06-07 07:15:17 UTC

or any virus before mid 20th century

2017-06-07 07:15:26 UTC

All the bad things in the world came after the fall of man.

2017-06-07 07:16:08 UTC

Which all aspects were created by God. Did man create evil?

2017-06-07 07:16:48 UTC

Man with his free will is capable of bringing evil into the world.

2017-06-07 07:16:59 UTC

Genesis goes over this.

2017-06-07 07:17:03 UTC

So man is God.

2017-06-07 07:17:05 UTC

I suggest you read it

2017-06-07 07:17:06 UTC

No

2017-06-07 07:17:11 UTC

Man was made in God's image.

2017-06-07 07:17:31 UTC

God is also religious?

2017-06-07 07:17:38 UTC

Is that relevant

2017-06-07 07:17:39 UTC

?

2017-06-07 07:17:43 UTC

Yes

2017-06-07 07:18:21 UTC

Man brought something into the world that God did not. So God is not omnipotent.

2017-06-07 07:18:39 UTC

He's still omnipotent

2017-06-07 07:18:54 UTC

Also why did he make us a curious being and then put a tree with fruit thats suppose to give us knowledge of good and evil

2017-06-07 07:19:06 UTC

The question is if he also needs to believe in something,

2017-06-07 07:19:23 UTC

If we are truly in his image

2017-06-07 07:19:25 UTC

That's a contradiction, Mros.

2017-06-07 07:19:31 UTC

You forget the part that they were deceived

2017-06-07 07:19:41 UTC

They didn't just decide to eat from the tree

2017-06-07 07:19:56 UTC

Coaxed more like it

2017-06-07 07:20:04 UTC

that bring up another contradiction

2017-06-07 07:20:10 UTC

God made everything but simultaneously did not bring evil. That is contradiction.
