Of course, when a country that has existed since the 50's collapses in a way similar to the soviet union, that will leave the region exceptionally unstable.
(As what happened in the northern middle east, and eastern europe after the soviet union collapsed.)
yeah initially they were, the fighting flared up later, but regardless i dont think he was at fault, but he was kind of the only person keeping things chill between everybody
@twook Yet, he failed to stop the fighting from occuring, his only notable feat was being able to keep yugoslavia together for a short period of time, and surviving several assassination attempts by stalin.
I dont really know what you expect me to say this is more of a discussion on race relations than what I believe he did right, he died and nationalists replaced him and the country as it was broke apart due to the tensions that arose from that
@twook I don't desire a reaction out of you, but I am calling your beliefs shit, and I am stating why with evidence.
I've said multiple times I just agree with his policies
particularly the socialist-esque economic plans and opposition to stalinism
Yet the policies did not help people that much, and could not prevent the destabilization, and eventual collapse of the country.
I dont kiss a picture of the guy before i go to bed lmao
tfw communism will probably never be realized within your lifetime
@twook Okay? Why follow a person who's policies were an utter failure?
because ive said multiple times the country didnt fail because of them, in fact he was the only glue holding that shit together from what I've seen
@twook Yet, he wasn't enough.
That's something you must realize.
alright?
that was never a point I argued
@twook So you then admit, that tito was incapable of holding yugoslavia together, and his policies were inadequate as well?
are you like
You seem like the slow one here, pal.
He kept yugoslavia together until he died and I dont find any of his policies to have been responsible for its break up
so much as the nationalism that was always just under the surface suddenly breaking free once there was nobody who could hold them together
define identity
lol, I feel like with a gun to their head everyone will say they are american
@twook I never stated that he was RESPONSIBLE for it's breakup, but I did state that he was incapable of saving yugoslavia from total collapse, meaning that his policies, and actions, were utter failures.
thats a jump i dont make then I suppose
i dont find him responsible for its demise
it probably would have died while he was alive if he had tried to eliminate the nationalisms of the various groups
@twook Of course he wasn't responsible for it falling apart.
Oh if he tried putting down the nationalist groups violently, there would have been a civil war in yugoslavia.
If you want to put the blame down on anybody for being the cause of yugoslavia's break up, you can put the blame on stalin.
I put the blame on nobody exactly, nobody came forward to replace him that could lead and make all the groups work together like he could
so it broke apart, the nationalism that had been dormant sprang to life
It was active since austria conquered the balkans, and, it has been said and proven before, that if a country of group is dependant on one person for it's existence, then after he goes away, the country WILL fall apart, this was a disaster waiting to happen in yugoslavia.
Da comrades
probably, yes, but I dont take this as proof of your point that ''his policies, and actions, were utter failures.''
