Besides
Even if the Bible says Jews are bad
I’d still like to see proof that they are somehow
Because without justification that’s just rude
I am also. Love thy neighbor is fine, but if the Bible says "don't support x group", or "x group is bad/evil", I'm not going to support or "love" them.
But the Bible says to support all your enemies
But ain’t that arbitrary?
Not necessarily support them, but at least treat them with dignity and respect and don’t attack them/ force them out of their homes
@Honey Beanger I believe it is implying to help put them on the right path, why would Christ want us to """""respect""""" people like Satan?
Matthew 5:43-48
**Matthew 5:43-48 - New Revised Standard Version (NRSV)**
```Dust
Love for Enemies
<43> "You have heard that it was said, 'You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.' <44> But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, <45> so that you may be children of your Father in heaven; for he makes his sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the righteous and on the unrighteous. <46> For if you love those who love you, what reward do you have? Do not even the tax collectors do the same? <47> And if you greet only your brothers and sisters, what more are you doing than others? Do not even the Gentiles do the same? <48> Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect. ```
“And if you greet only your brothers and sisters, what more are you doing than others? Do not even gentiles do the same?”
We can’t just be hating people without reason
Jesus doesn’t say anything about “setting them on the right path” he’s coming out and telling us to love them
That would contradict his previous teachings though. It would be more logical if he's implying to help people accept him, not love people who seek to destroy you and hate your God.
What previous teachings
Revelations 2:8-9
Wtf
Is he saying go out and expel them from their homes in that?
@Morte hi
What part do you not get of synagogue of Satan
What part of that says expel them from their homes if they don’t convert to my teachings
We should either
A. Help them
B. If they reject help, oppose them
They don’t literally worship Satan
That’s ridiculous
@Honey Beanger it's called common sense
We should obviously oppose something that is implied as satanic
whats the verse your talking about again @Deleted User
Revelation 2:8-9
The Message to Smyrna
<8> "And to the angel of the church in Smyrna write: These are the words of the first and the last, who was dead and came to life: <9> "I know your affliction and your poverty, even though you are rich. I know the slander on the part of those who say that they are Jews and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan. ```
But they aren’t satanic
that seems to say those who claim to be Jews but aren't actually are satanists
do you have the context around it?
Doesn’t matter what it says
Also revelations doesn’t come before Matthew so Jesus isn’t contradicting his prior teachings by saying to love your enemies
Jews aren’t satanic
Lol
Jews don’t worship satan
XD
Satanic is also synonymous with evil, wicked, diabolical, etc.
Lol
