2021-02-03 16:15:30 UTC

A flat tax should be implemented at 15%, income tax goes bye bye, and the vast majority of government programs should be dispersed imo

2021-02-03 16:15:50 UTC

Atf

2021-02-03 16:16:05 UTC

thats me but instead of working from home, its school

2021-02-03 16:16:14 UTC

Wait, if you eliminate income tax, what are you taxing 15% on?

2021-02-03 16:16:19 UTC

I do both. Really makes law school fun.

2021-02-03 16:16:30 UTC

GOOD MORNING PARTY PEOPLE

2021-02-03 16:16:40 UTC

welfare should be restricted to those that deserve it not to those that use it to rent whole houses, lease lexus or some other high end cars, and get free schooling they refuse to exploit because they don't want to give up weflare to get a job

2021-02-03 16:17:12 UTC

seen way too many ppl on welfare for the wrong reasons and exploiting it like they hit the lottery

2021-02-03 16:17:22 UTC

I forget the term, but personal income tax wasn't a thing until Woodrow Wilson, aka top 3 worst presidents ever list, implemented it in WW1

2021-02-03 16:17:39 UTC

I'm aware

2021-02-03 16:17:55 UTC

But still... 15% tax of what?

2021-02-03 16:18:03 UTC

Sales tax at 15%?

2021-02-03 16:18:25 UTC

If you want a 15% flat tax it has to be based on something

2021-02-03 16:18:49 UTC

back in the 80's and before ....getting on welfare limited what u could buy for food(they had their own food brands of gov meat, milk and cheese/eggs)...and utils had to be limited in usage, no cars or anything like that and u had to report monthly for drug testing and interviews

2021-02-03 16:19:30 UTC

welfare back then was like 'universal income'...u felt ashamed to be on it so u pushed urself to get a job

2021-02-03 16:20:08 UTC

then i hear about all these morons pushing for 'univsersal basic income' ...they have no clue what that means

2021-02-03 16:21:02 UTC

And yes, they used to tax the income of businesses and corporations, and even then it was optional and not supposed to apply to the average Joe

2021-02-03 16:21:13 UTC

bro used to be on welfare in his between phase with his family between military and finding a job...he really hated it

2021-02-03 16:28:52 UTC

If businesses were taxes 15% of all income prior to business spending and providing payroll, then it wouldn't be much different than if each person's personal income was taxed, and it would make the government's life and the avg. Joe's life easier. Maybe some 5% tariffs for a little bit of additional income, but it eliminates a lot of stupid crap. 70,000 pages is ridiculous. The Founding Fathers wanted government to be simple and small, and taxes to be minimal. This would allow for that imo. Sorry for not explaining it better sooner.
