I totally can. Me and Nuke have already begun collaborating, if that's what you're getting at.
Indeed. That would be interesting to see what you design.
But, as these different human colonies begin to advance, some people have an idea:
"What if we used the power of the Elder Gods to begin fueling our tech?"
And another faction was like:
"Hey, we have an even better idea. How about you ditch that idea and never *ever* bring it up ever again? How's that for an idea?"
Well, they didn't listen.
The began taking the power of the Elder gods that had been locked away, which is basically the distilled essence of insanity, and began experimenting with it.
May I suggest some ideas?
Go ahead.
I understand what you are trying to do. But you need to execute the idea with such a way that shows how human nature is effected by the events that are happening.
Do you have a plan to make the story flow from one plot to plot?
Oh, no, this is all just the *back story*.
Alright, I understand. Just make sure that the backstory has room from events that can change in the future of the story.
Well, time travel will no longer be a thing. Or, if it is a thing, it will be an absolute last resort. The tech was lost. People know that time travel happened, because certain planets had records left over, but nobody is using time travel now.
So a type of cover up of history.
I am confused. Maybe not a cover up. Civilization knows that it happened, generally and widely. They just don't have the tech to go about doing it again.
People searching for the technology to locate the gate way of time?
Like Star Gate?
Well, that might be a concern, but not as big of a concern as the people who started using the distilled insanity stuff.
*Hmm...*
Because, turns out, using distilled insanity has some negative effects. Basically they took some of this stuff, mixed it with pig blood, and injected it into elves. This created orcs. They did the same thing with wolf blood and halflings. That got them goblins.
Basically every evil fantasy race imaginable is in there. You probably wouldn't recognize them right away, because they all wear organic exoskeletons, but that's what they are.
I understand what you are looking to do. But, you are doing this with the advance technology and 4th dimensional travel?
Depends on what 4th dimensional travel is.
I have no idea about dimensions.
4 dimensional travel is time.
Extra-dimensional travel could be alternate timelines, split off far back along the main timeline.
That would work.
Also, are you talking "soft" time travel or "hard"?
Going back and effecting the base time line probably wouldn't, because there would be so many variables that the entire setting could basically be accidentally deleted if somebody goes back in time and messes with things.
So "soft".
Yeah.
Isn’t “hard” time travel when you create a alternative reality from farther back in history?
I do not know?
I haven't messed too much with time travel because it can totally make your head hurt.
I don't even watch "Doctor Who."
You can change the way you deal with time.
Brb. I'm here, just going to be gone a minute.
Have you ever watched Tom Cruise, “Minority Report”?
"Hard" is either "You can't change anything because it reverts" or "You can't change anything that hasn't already happened, or it creates another universe".
Yep. Minority Report is "soft".
Oh... I see what you are saying.
Basically, anything you see on television and 99% of movies is "soft".
