hey guys, need to write a paper on any battle throughout all of history, its for a college class so I can go pretty in depth but not sure what to pick. Any recommendations??

If you want a Last stand type of thing, look WW2 Battle of Visna, aka the Polish Thermopylae
Or the Battle of Verdun for ww1
For head on head battles, there’s the battle of Kursk
Then for absolute Meat Grinders, there’s the battle of Manila, the Battle of Iwo Jima or the general invasion of Okinawa, the battle of Aachen, The Somme, the Battle of of Shanghai, The battle of Hacksaw Ridge,
And then the Battle of Monte Cassino
And that’s just from the world Wars

Fun fact on one of them, Aachen is referred to as the American Stalingrad, due to the importance of the city as well as the fierce fighting to take it
