It could fit for sure as just by making slightly more widened turret even 100mm guns could fit on T-34

2021-02-11 03:16:38 UTC

Oof

2021-02-11 03:17:44 UTC

Here’s a fun fact: the Sherman’s engine was capable of powering more weight then was actually on the Sherman

2021-02-11 03:17:58 UTC

That’s why we were able to get away with tanks like the Sherman Jumbo

2021-02-11 03:19:12 UTC

mhm, thats because its engine was the same design radial engine used in shit like US Bombers

2021-02-11 03:19:43 UTC

which could produce alot of power quickly and was fairly fuel efficient

2021-02-11 03:20:23 UTC

only issue was that it was very large, which forced vehicles that used to also be fairly tall

2021-02-11 03:21:33 UTC

another benefit of Radial Engines is that you wouldnt explode when shot, which helps in the Shermans survivability'

2021-02-11 03:22:01 UTC

if you wanted to really blow up a Sherman, gotta hit its Ammo Rack

2021-02-11 08:00:02 UTC

The sherman was good, but the panther and tiger where deathly

2021-02-11 12:08:14 UTC

Panther's and Tigers were good as well, however both consumed a large amount of resources that negaticly affected Germany

2021-02-11 12:58:56 UTC

Have you looked into being a CCT?

2021-02-11 12:59:46 UTC

they were also a hassle to move long distance, as the Tigers weight made it extremely difficult for trains to move them to deployment area's, and for both general transmission problems that often had to be fixed back at the factory they came from

2021-02-11 15:08:54 UTC

Does China have a project for a modern tank like the russian armata or the korean K2 ?

2021-02-11 15:42:24 UTC

I’m sure they do, and it’s labeled Abrams ripoff

2021-02-11 18:27:09 UTC

China does, however they havent all too keen on revealing their modernized lineup

2021-02-11 19:24:30 UTC

If World War III happens any time soon it will start in India

2021-02-11 19:48:36 UTC

we are already in a cold war

2021-02-11 20:01:38 UTC

@Tsar Vladimir Putin that thing was supposed to launch in 2020 though?

2021-02-11 20:19:20 UTC

@Lyte it's a concept for a French SSGN, not a real thing

2021-02-11 20:19:35 UTC

no, the Type 003

2021-02-11 20:19:41 UTC

Oh that

2021-02-11 20:19:48 UTC

I think it's launching this year

2021-02-11 20:20:00 UTC

It was set to launch in 2020 originally.

2021-02-11 20:20:09 UTC

also, hardly a game changer imo. They only have 1

2021-02-11 20:20:40 UTC

and they don't have 80 years of experience like the US Navy

2021-02-11 20:21:00 UTC

Experience in fighting you mean?

2021-02-11 20:21:04 UTC

technologically it is a threat but in a war, it wouldn't make a difference

2021-02-11 20:21:05 UTC

yeah

2021-02-11 20:21:22 UTC

Doing combat operations off a carrier is a whole different ball park than just operating one
