AR-15 or similar rifle
Shotguns work well too
There’s a lot of factors there. How familiar are you with firearms, do you want a rifle, handgun, shotgun
Unregistered machine gun?
Grenade
Don't even have to be in the same room
I love the constructive help everyone’s giving lol
I have fired a few rifles, a few pistols (one was a revolver) I know the five fire arm safety rules and I know how to use a shotgun but never fired one.
What are you most comfortable with?
Have you ever used an AKS-74U?
Gotta Gopnik them
An MG would be my choice. But for legal purposes, I'd say shotgun, handgun or AR-15. In that order. Shotties have better spread, so no accuracy needed and won't over penetrate, handguns are less likely to overpenetrate than an AR
A full auto infantry rifle chambered in .308 is useless.
Really any carbine can replace the AR.
I am looking to buy one in the future to protect my future wife who I am currently dating. Im only 16 and I just want to have some sort of plan. @Miater I am comfortable with the rifle and handgun, but I feel a handgun would be more practical for a house hold protection fire arm.
@UltraRichterian | PST the CFAL would like to speak with you.
Get an AR-15 or similar carbine.
@ViolentLotus1 my suggestion to anyone looking for their first gun is to buy what you are most comfortable with. A firearm is useless if you aren’t comfortable shooting it
The FAL is slightly better as the rate of fire is higher
The CFAL is even better
Making it more possible to actualy put a round on target before your are 15 inches above the target,

Yeah a Handgun is comfortable and practical for what I want to use it for.
The full auto fal was incredibly hard to control, the semi auto version worked better in more situations
Legitimately, I would recommend a 12 guage shotgun, pump action, or one of those nice semi-autos. It will definitely be better for home defense unless you are absolutely proficient with your firearms and performing under stress.
A handgun is a nice second. Short, portable and easily concealable.
M14 was stupidly difficult to control on full auto, the FAL was no different
The FAL was still better
No, it made practically no difference
You got one bullet on target with the M-14, you got 3 with the FAL.
They were both incredibly uncontrollable
Then it was anyone's guess
I feel a rifle would be a little to big for such a smaller space. I would rather use a rifle for hunting but if I have a rifle or handgun close by, I would grab the closest one.
Grab a handgun you are comfortable operating
Mhm
Experience matters most
I can see that
Personally I shoot my revolvers best. So that’s what’s on my nightstand
Also in standard engagement ranges, the accuracy differences were minimal
*Laughs in full length rifle.*
I have a 10.5 inch AR pistol, which is great for smaller spaces, but my go to would still be a handgun because I can keep it close by and I know that .45 hollow points are not going to go through both a person and a wall.
You know you broke into the wrong house when someone bayonet charges you with a WW1 rifle
