I like the films

2021-02-02 19:17:45 UTC

But don't ever use anything from those films as remotely accurate

2021-02-02 19:17:51 UTC

agreed.

2021-02-02 19:17:55 UTC

they are good movies

2021-02-02 19:17:59 UTC

but little more

2021-02-02 19:18:02 UTC

Even the rifle styles are too modern

2021-02-02 19:18:22 UTC

I was told that FAL were actually light, which was bad because of the round they fired being one of the more powerful ones and therefore screwing recoil

2021-02-02 19:18:41 UTC

Like he uses a 19th century Carolina flintlock style rifle through most of the film.

2021-02-02 19:18:49 UTC

They weigh almost 10 pounds unloaded

2021-02-02 19:18:50 UTC

i mean, just slap a good comp on and it should be good right?

2021-02-02 19:18:58 UTC

Well damn

2021-02-02 19:19:07 UTC

Depends on the varient

2021-02-02 19:19:08 UTC

ten pounds <:KEK:795742276549607456>?

2021-02-02 19:19:13 UTC

Yeah like I said heavy as shit

2021-02-02 19:19:13 UTC

thats ridiculous

2021-02-02 19:19:23 UTC

The C1A1 or "CFAL" was very light

2021-02-02 19:19:41 UTC

probs off topic from y'all, but do you know if you can put a bayonet on a 10/22?

2021-02-02 19:19:58 UTC

You can do anything with duck tape

2021-02-02 19:20:02 UTC

Probably, is it recommended? Probably not

2021-02-02 19:20:36 UTC

I didn't ask recommended... I asked possible... I want to stab while I shoot squirrels

2021-02-02 19:20:47 UTC

@Bradyn 10 pounds was on the heavy end. The average one weighed around 8.5-9 pounds.

2021-02-02 19:20:59 UTC

ye, just weld a bayonet lug on. you may have to also weld some sodder onto the front of the barrel and then file it down untill it fits the bayonet loop on bayonet.

2021-02-02 19:21:07 UTC

Mhm

2021-02-02 19:21:18 UTC

7 pounds for the lighter ones

2021-02-02 19:21:26 UTC

Even down to 6.5

2021-02-02 19:21:32 UTC

8.5 pounds is still heavy my guy

2021-02-02 19:21:42 UTC

Still not as much as 10

2021-02-02 19:21:51 UTC

Aren’t AKs 10 lbs when fully loaded?

2021-02-02 19:21:52 UTC

fair point

2021-02-02 19:22:00 UTC

ngl, when I build my ar, ima go for a sub 7 pound gun. (unloaded)

2021-02-02 19:22:02 UTC

Which AK?

2021-02-02 19:22:03 UTC

Yeah but the lighter you went the more reliability problems they had

2021-02-02 19:22:09 UTC

No

2021-02-02 19:22:13 UTC

That's a myth

2021-02-02 19:22:32 UTC

It's all about who built it.

2021-02-02 19:22:48 UTC

Never hear of a FAL that weighed under 8 pounds

2021-02-02 19:22:55 UTC

What model?

2021-02-02 19:23:02 UTC

The Standard Ak47

2021-02-02 19:23:13 UTC

The milled AK or AKM?

2021-02-02 19:23:17 UTC

Milled
