Went to a shop and then I put a ruger security 9 on layaway until I turn 21 this weekend

do you have to own a gun to take a conceal carry course?

I should probably take one some time

I think my friends dad had offered to run some drills with us. He is a vet, and is pretty handy at those run-and-gun drills, but idk if that necessarily would apply to concealed/edc

Told me he can help me get my state license and the out of state license

so how does an out of state work?

Mostly the instructor will go over laws proper storage and carry proceedures

And it will allow you to carry outside of the state you live in if that state recognizes the license

I think the Utah license which I plan on applying for is valid in like 38 states
