No man. Rust is really fun. It's unforgiving and toxic as hell, but really fun. I'm just worried that with all the console players the game will be ruined.

The intro video literally shows you doing Minecraft beginner stuff, with different graphics.

Gather stuff, make tools, kill animals, build shelter, add bed...

Yes you farm, and build your base. But you get raided, you get killed, animals kill you, you starve, you get dehydrated, people camp your doors, etc..

Which is great, if you like FPS and buildcraft games. But if you don't like one, you'll hate half this game.

I can see that POV. I like both. I get bored of just killing and just farming. I like that theres both in the game.

It also has in-game buyable tech, which I can't stand.

Really?? As far as i understand the ONLY thing you can buy for the game is skins for guns and clothes and armor etc. You can't buy actual weapons and stuff.

While playing if you gather enough resources you can purchase things to gain an upper hand on other players.

I'm not saying i know everything. but that is one of the reasons i love this game. it is not a Pay-to-win game.

you need to put a lot of time and effort to upgrade bases and gather resources and secure your loot, etc
