Yeah I dont know anything about the Catholic church aside from they have lots of books in the bible they added.

2021-02-05 19:29:34 UTC

and their propensity for pretentiousness, ritual and idolatry, historically speaking..

2021-02-05 19:29:36 UTC

Most religions make alterations to the Bible. However in the Catholic Church it has been aimed to better fit the interpretation from original text.

2021-02-05 19:30:14 UTC

I do not at all believe however that demonizing a religion that puts faith in the son of man will do any good for God’s plan. But, that is my opinion.

2021-02-05 19:31:28 UTC

How can one support a corrupt church or speak in its defense and still claim to be for God's plan?

2021-02-05 19:32:17 UTC

Because sadly, humans work very particularly, as we all know. We require structure in order for institutions/faiths to sustain themselves.

2021-02-05 19:32:40 UTC

and if the very institution itself is corrupt?

2021-02-05 19:33:08 UTC

The Catholic Church is the longest lasting religion in Christianity. It has the most room to be criticized, but that does not mean that its existence is to damage the will of God.

2021-02-05 19:33:46 UTC

But, that said, even Catholics know that the anti-Christ will reign through the power of the Catholic Church.

2021-02-05 19:34:29 UTC

Which according to private revelation, which I have no interest in compelling you to believe, the anti-Christ is alive and well on his way to the papacy

2021-02-05 19:36:28 UTC

Does anyone speak taco?

2021-02-05 19:54:30 UTC

You’re a a bit rude towards Catholicism

2021-02-05 20:02:15 UTC

I was actually defending it, I myself am Catholic.

2021-02-05 20:02:26 UTC

But that does not mean that it should not be criticized

2021-02-05 20:03:33 UTC

And Prostitution is the oldest historic career path, whats you point? And technically Jewish/hebrew religieon came first and was the pre history to christianity so your wrong on that front too.

2021-02-05 20:04:34 UTC

I never would have guessed the person defending catholic beliefs was a catholic.. Imagine my shock.

2021-02-05 20:05:19 UTC

Well, technically, neither Protestantism or Catholicism existed in terms of the early church in Christianity. Paul, Peter, John, James, and the countless other apostles probably would disagree with some doctrine taught by both sides.

2021-02-05 20:06:41 UTC

Being older does not make anything more right or good. If anything it means its more riddled with corruption and ritual religeon.

2021-02-05 20:06:41 UTC

Straw man much? Haha. And Judaism/Hebraism are not forms of Christianity so that point is meaningless

2021-02-05 20:08:49 UTC

Straw man? My point was that just because its old does not mean its good or even best. Thats hardly a strawman. And Seeing as the Jews existed in BC times and STILL exist today, its pretty arrogant to be "Aw well CATHOLICS have been holding the front lines since the oldest of times." But again, thats the arrogance I expect from Catholics.

2021-02-05 20:09:34 UTC

What I’m saying is it is one of the only reasons Christianity has the standing it enjoys today.

2021-02-05 20:10:01 UTC

Expecting arrogance won’t get you anywhere, it will only allow you to find arrogance.

2021-02-05 20:10:19 UTC

Reduce your expectations in life friend. It’s a setup for failure

2021-02-05 20:10:27 UTC

And its also the only reasons the choir boys have kneeling in modern today.

2021-02-05 20:10:37 UTC

That is very true. It was the dominant form of Christianity throughout the Middle Ages, thereby preserving it.

2021-02-05 20:10:49 UTC

Again, taking an entire point and reducing it to the darkness you find today.

2021-02-05 20:11:06 UTC

Open your eyes and see the beauty that has been brought about at the hands of Catholicism

2021-02-05 20:11:18 UTC

There is beauty. You can deny it, but it’s there.

2021-02-05 20:11:54 UTC

And the middle ages were SUCH a christian thing. Burning heretics at the stake, the inquisition, excommunication, the invention of purgatory AND my favorite, indulgences.

2021-02-05 20:12:41 UTC

I mean I remember in the bible when Jesus said "If you sin you better give me some money to make it right and if someone falls from the faith, string them up and burn them alive."

2021-02-05 20:13:22 UTC

And now today, Catholics are responsible for the majority of donations in this world

2021-02-05 20:13:28 UTC

Oh nobody denys a nice bonfire is a nice get together, but human flesh tends to spoil the mood.

2021-02-05 20:13:56 UTC

One of us is pushing divisiveness. And I don’t think it’s me, for the most part 😂

2021-02-05 20:14:27 UTC

No

2021-02-05 20:14:28 UTC

Well lets assume 1. that they are the biggest donations in the world, although that is rather vauge. Where is all that money going to?

2021-02-05 20:14:29 UTC

Lol

2021-02-05 20:14:58 UTC

To the pope’s purse 🤣

2021-02-05 20:14:58 UTC

Perhaps the the Popes gaudy gold and encrested throne?

2021-02-05 20:15:23 UTC

Maybe some hush money for the molested chior boys family?

2021-02-05 20:15:51 UTC

How about some big ceremony with expensive incense?

2021-02-05 20:15:57 UTC

Look at history. The Catholic Church always were the ones who taxed the heck out of the people and then took their land
