It recounts the civilizations that lived in the Americas as well as Christ's visit to the Americas.
How?
You literally just made that blanket statement earlier only to find out we have the same verses. <:Teeth:798301808996384828>
Look at mark 16:19
So then, after the Lord had spoken to them, He was received up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God.
Mark 16:19
No I mean what messages are important in it that aren’t in the testaments
When does it say he goes to America?
It was after he was resurrected
That's 1 verse out of the 2k he changed
also is there any archaeological evidence for that 'lost tribe of Israel'?
Not that I’ve seen
Okay, and do you know how many hate my faith? And how do you know those are true?
Archaeological evidence that supports the lost tribe of Israel? What's that supposed to mean?
exactly what I said.
(Now this, “He ascended”—what does it mean but that He also first descended into the lower parts of the earth? He who descended is also the One who ascended far above all the heavens, that He might fill all things.)
Ephesians 4:9-10
He taught in hell not America
So the dead that died before the time that Jesus can have a change to be saved.
For this reason the gospel was preached also to those who are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit.
I Peter 4:6
You asked the question <:What2:777241822930010132>
You prove his statement
Can you like, phrase your points in a less confusing way?
That nothing can prove Mormonism
He literally asked for archaeological proof of the lost tribe of Israel and I'm trying to figure out what he means?🤣
Is this that confusing? Isn't not clear it says he went to hell for 3 days to teach the word to the dead for they didn't have a chance to learn the gospel.
Your points don't make sense. There are random quotes and parantheses like you're splicing different stuff together. If you're going to quote a verse quote the whole thing mate
@HUNTER4639 You mentioned the book of mormon saying "It recounts the civilizations that lived in the Americas as well as Christ's visit to the Americas." from my understanding the claim of the book of mormon was that those civilizations were descendants of an alleged lost tribe of Israel.
He’s asking if archeologists have dug up or found any proof of a lost tribe
^^
That makes more sense. And I don't know much at all about the lost tribe if I'm being completely honest.
@HUNTER4639 So why did God tell Joseph Smith he couldn’t show the golden plates to anyone?
Then a few years later, Joseph Smith said that he received the record written on gold plates, in “reformed Egyptian” language that no one but he could understand. He was also told not to show these gold plates to anyone, but that sometime later a few selected people would be given the privilege to view them. He said that he then translated the plates and published the material as the “Book of Mormon” and gave the gold plates back to the angel Moroni.
Because first off, they were gold. I know I wouldn't show anyone if I had plates made of gold. That was actually an issue. Many people tried to steal the plates and if they weren't hidden they would have. Second, they were sacred. This also kind of goes along with the first part. If someone saw them, the news would become so widespread that everyone would come searching and then there's a manhunt on top of the extermination order. Not a good combo.
He gave the plates back to moroni rhe angel
Apparently
Yes
Nothing can prove his claims
Along with thr Urim and Thumim
Only his works is the prove
Some things aren't meant to be proven like that.
So couldn’t he just get extensive security and I mean he died even when he didn’t show them so it’s not like it would’ve changed much
He would've died before he had completed the translation. And sure, he could have gotten extensive security but then again, this is all a part of the Lord's plan.
?? But the bible can prove anything.
