But no one, marriage only still happens due to people being told by the church that it is what should be done, society telling men that they're nothing unless they're married, and parents selfishly pressing their sons into it because they want grandchildren.

My folks didn't get married till i was 16, they just decided to live together and raise a family. Dad's been there since day one. Maybe they didn't let some legalities get in the way. 🤷‍♀️
