Can you rephrase the first sentence cause grammatical it doesn’t make sense for what you’re trying to say

2021-02-15 04:26:30 UTC

Ah cool

2021-02-15 04:26:30 UTC

Well, spanish.

2021-02-15 04:27:06 UTC

Fixed

2021-02-15 04:27:15 UTC

Yeah before big box stores and maddison avenue marketing firms made it a secular holiday to make a killing off selling candy and costumes.

2021-02-15 04:27:41 UTC

It's a sad thing, isn't it?

2021-02-15 04:28:06 UTC

@hyperiacob So how is candy a distraction from God? Kids aren’t worshipping candy when they go out. They aren’t praying to it

2021-02-15 04:28:39 UTC

they are worshipping there Disney princess ect

2021-02-15 04:28:52 UTC

No they aren’t

2021-02-15 04:29:10 UTC

The princess is a role model to them that they look up to but don’t worship

2021-02-15 04:29:28 UTC

For example parents are role models but you don’t worship them

2021-02-15 04:30:22 UTC

Is this called the mardi gras down in nu orleans?

2021-02-15 04:30:41 UTC

All Saints Day is the ultimate day to teach children about dead war heroes in your family, about remarkable women who have done incredible things for their families, for people who have overcome hardship and triumphed over it. And you tie it all in and say "They learned to do these things because of the values taught by Jesus. They learned these things from the prophets and the martyrs and the wise men in the Bible."

2021-02-15 04:31:34 UTC

I dunno.

2021-02-15 04:32:29 UTC

just saying, many adults these days are kinda stupid and i know of a whole sect of Christians that would believe just that if they saw you dress as a demon :p

2021-02-15 04:32:56 UTC

Sadly, you may have a point 😔

2021-02-15 04:33:15 UTC

On the night of October 31, the Celts’ priestly class called the Druids would engage in grizzly human sacrifices. These included having their victims bob for apples in cauldrons of boiling liquid, burning them in a large wicker cage in the shape of a man, carving turnips and other gourds to be filled with human fat and burned to signal to demons and spirits, and going door to door among the villages to collect human sacrifices.

2021-02-15 04:33:18 UTC

to their credit, those people have less of a chance to fall to glorification of evil

2021-02-15 04:33:42 UTC

My bad, i just googled it, and it's actually known down there as the "second" mardi gras. 😉

2021-02-15 04:34:30 UTC

i personaly don't think that dressing up for halloween is evil. if you fill a pumpkin with human kidneys though...

2021-02-15 04:34:48 UTC

you're suposed to take the guts OUT of the pumpkin, not put them in

2021-02-15 04:35:35 UTC

The Druids probably did do that. Good thing we're Christians and not Druids then, eh?

2021-02-15 04:35:48 UTC

I see Halloween a day of evil because of all the evil and disgusting things that go around on that day.

2021-02-15 04:36:34 UTC

You're saying that somewhere, there are still people sacrificing human beings to Celtic Gods on Halloween?

2021-02-15 04:36:49 UTC

Yes they still exists

2021-02-15 04:37:21 UTC

I heard stories of people finding dead bodys in the woods after Halloween

2021-02-15 04:38:12 UTC

Ok. I will not be condescending.

2021-02-15 04:38:31 UTC

There was something I wanted to say, but won't.

2021-02-15 04:38:52 UTC

I am sure you did hear stories.

2021-02-15 04:39:04 UTC

But I don't see a good reason to believe them.

2021-02-15 04:39:31 UTC

I dont see why invited such evil your homes

2021-02-15 04:40:03 UTC

Well, I just must be some evil heretic, then.

2021-02-15 04:40:25 UTC

I'm starting to see a pattern here...we christians were trolling the pagans by making our holidays the same day or near to theirs. "Hey pagans, we got a better festival over here at church, spoiler alert...u stay alive and learn about Jesus in ours". 😬

2021-02-15 04:40:39 UTC

^True.

2021-02-15 04:41:11 UTC

Well not us my church doesn't celebrate Halloween

2021-02-15 04:41:26 UTC

We are a small church so we know that one in the church does it

2021-02-15 04:42:26 UTC

Funny thing bigger churchs do Halloween to please the people and small churchs usually don't.

2021-02-15 04:42:35 UTC

given that that stuff probably does happen somewhere on that day, don't see how that makes it a speficaly evil day

2021-02-15 04:43:15 UTC

And if it was, I don't see why Christians can't reclaim it in the name of Christ.

2021-02-15 04:43:38 UTC

i mean, people do bad things every day, i dont say "well today is an evil day cause some dummy did a bad thing on it

2021-02-15 04:44:05 UTC

But u guys probably call it harvest festival or reformation day... something to troll pagans out of their pagan holiday and into our more Jesus-y festivities, or dress up in costumes and go trick or treating, rather than cutting up people.
