Well... if they get a "reset" every day because of that SEC filing saying they pay the loss at the day's closing and get a new short target the next day, we're kind of stuck with keeping it in one direction

2021-03-08 17:47:53 UTC

in long run, it'll actually help them because then it will drop even lower eventually and they'll get their lost billions back

2021-03-08 17:49:00 UTC

unless... they just run out of money before then lol

2021-03-08 17:49:40 UTC

yes thats the point

2021-03-08 17:49:49 UTC

to make them run out of money :P

2021-03-08 17:53:34 UTC

The people who are shorting today will be different then the people who shorted at $5. Some shorts close their position, other shorts open new position at higher price

2021-03-08 18:41:36 UTC

well, today was a good trading day, except for my choice in getting into texas instruments (i know it's tech, but didn't know it was wrapped up in with the other tech stocks like apple, dell, hp, etc..)

2021-03-08 19:22:16 UTC

Sold Gme and amc.

2021-03-08 19:22:31 UTC

Dip is happening soon... careful

2021-03-08 19:29:32 UTC

careful of what

2021-03-08 19:29:40 UTC

all you have to do is hodl

2021-03-08 19:31:04 UTC

its not a loss if you hodl

2021-03-08 19:32:53 UTC

smokie doesnt understand, his hands are like tissue

2021-03-08 19:33:02 UTC

Also, I know it's not "illegal" to buy GME stock, but I saw somewhere it was illegal to intentionally buy into it with no intention on making any gains and just manipulating the stock price. Are they going to investigate that?

2021-03-08 19:36:14 UTC

It's not a loss if you sell at a profit

2021-03-08 19:36:22 UTC

<:thinking:726878987837636698>

2021-03-08 19:37:15 UTC

yeah they can't charge you if you sold it at a profit, but I'm wondering like long term when they start investigating and being like "look at all these people that bought in at 180 (or more) and never sold. I bet they did it intentionally as market manipulation, nobody's that autistic"

2021-03-08 19:37:26 UTC

but you sold at a loss last week LOL

2021-03-08 19:37:36 UTC

no I didn't, not GME

2021-03-08 19:37:42 UTC

smokie did

2021-03-08 19:37:47 UTC

I sold Disney at a loss

2021-03-08 19:39:42 UTC

I try not to sell anything at a loss (for obvious reasons) but bigger reason is because I don't want to buy back in as a wash and have it be some jacked up price

2021-03-08 19:41:30 UTC

think the reasoning behind that is so you don't claim the realized loss on your taxes, yet still made money off that same company

2021-03-08 19:41:45 UTC

I sold so I could use the money to make more than the loss i sold for. Have to have money to make money and I needed funds to move.

2021-03-08 19:41:55 UTC

so they bump up the price to make up the loss than what it was at current market value

2021-03-08 19:42:12 UTC

Sold at an 80$ loss but made a few hundred off the stock I purchased.

2021-03-08 19:42:25 UTC

So again, not a loss if you profit

2021-03-08 19:42:34 UTC

<:thinking:726878987837636698>

2021-03-08 19:43:12 UTC

Then it was easy to just buy back in at or around the price I sold for.

2021-03-08 19:43:23 UTC

Then poof. Profit happened today on it

2021-03-08 19:43:27 UTC

👍

2021-03-08 19:44:09 UTC

Simply holding might work, but it can also fail miserably.

2021-03-08 19:44:50 UTC

made 275 bucks today, which is sort of my limit on "if every day were like this, I'll quit my job" level of making money

2021-03-08 19:45:18 UTC

Lmao!

2021-03-08 19:45:21 UTC

Nice man

2021-03-08 19:45:32 UTC

like I said, oil and gas have been good to me

2021-03-08 19:45:38 UTC

I made 370 on just amc and gme today.

2021-03-08 19:45:48 UTC

Sold em and will wait for the dip

2021-03-08 19:46:12 UTC

Put the $ into btc, or Ada, or enj.

2021-03-08 19:46:19 UTC

Haven't decided yet

2021-03-08 19:46:33 UTC

Then watch the stocks... and sell my coin at a profit to buy the stock dip
