i like raccoons, rats, garbage dwelling vermin in general

for some odd reason

Graccoon’s evolutions are not complete yet but he evolves into a grass dark type based on the coati (large raccoon relative) and the bud on his tail develops into a hook so the final evo uses it as a grappling hook to break into buildings and nests in trees

one idea for a starter critter would be "weavolt", an electric weasel

Middle stage uses leaves for gloves to avoid being caught stealing, but the leaves have a distinctive print so his genius plan failed

And Graccoon will try and steal berries if it’s trainer looses a battle to heal the team
