I'd say learn to draw with pure shapes. Build up the drawing. It's like building anything. Structure comes before detail

22x26in painting that I did
Update on the WIP: I tweaked some of the finer details and have the basic shading almost done. I'm not really liking how the rifle shading looks, so I'll probably end up re-shading certain parts of it (or putting in new lines, we'll see), but so far, I'd say it looks decent.
I'll also probably redraw the right gauntlet to make it more accurate to the actual armor.
Also, that is not the final background, it's just easier to work on than a white one, and easier on my eyes.

I’m not the best at it either but drawing a frame work with the proper body proportions for the style is very important.
@airheadkid89 Looks ambitious! I recommend drawing perspective points to help out.
Put a dot at the vanishing point and draw lines all pointing in its direction.
