Which 1800s Presidents
Idk i lost my paper with my information so š
Imma try listing all the 1800s presidents from memory
It was like from like 1840-1890 around there
Btw if the project is boring or difficult it would make things much more fun and likely easy if you call museums. I would even see if any of the presidents on your list are from your state since that will mean that you could call a more local museum. Especially since school has been so weird with covid, it would help you to be able to talk to someone who is an expert with what youāre learning. Back and forth conversations do more than textbooks can.
Yeah agreed
I'm pretty sure most of my presidents were either monopoly friendly or didn't do anything
I always liked going to museums and I bet the museum people would like to get a call from someone and help. They can get enthusiastic about stuff like this.
40-90s
Jackson, Van Buren, Harrison, Tyler, Polk, Taylor, Fillmore, Pierce, Buchanan, Lincoln, Johnson, Grant, Hayes, Garfield, Arthur, Cleavland
That's just what I remember cause we skimmed through the 1800's presidents
Forgot Benjamin Harrison and William McKinley
Thanks I recognize a few of those I'm pretty sure I have Polk who I'm pretty certain is why we have a lot of states in the west
And he did other stuff but I forgot
He advocated for Texas to be in the union
I would see what was happening in foriegn countries and see how they reacted maybe but then again, America had a very isolationist policy before Pearl Harbor. Maybe see what they did to expand the federal gov or support stateās rights? I know thatās more federalist-antifederalist stuff so it doesnāt fit the late 1800ās, but it could give you a thesis if your project requires a general idea. It would also give you a clear way to rank them with an overall theme if that is necessary.
Yeah I think I remember that
Well part of the project is opinion the main idea is to list the president in the sense by how many things they did that they promised and give opinion later
That makes sense. I was wondering what the project requirements were, like if it was just ranking or whether you had to provide reason with a theme of some kind
Like a traditional essay with a thesis or something
If itās a presentation just make a tier list video
Or more specifically what class
Yeah. Like is this eighth grade or twlefth
Yeah it seems easy but I have no idea what to say or how to start it also I usually do good on essays so hopefully I can pull of this one
I'm in 11th grade
Is this dual or normal us history
My main problem is its 50 pages and I get writers block like around 20 pages
Oh its ap lmao
Ok. So that means quality. Good to know š Iām in eighth grade so for something like this the expectation is a lot simpler lol.
Fifty pages, wow. Dang
Yeah eighth graders have it easy compared to highschool
Haha lol. All I have to do is come up with some kind of general theme thatāll please the teacher and show some evidence. Then all I need is a thesaurus to spice it up and to write a creative intro. Essays take me an hour to write nowadays, the formula is easy in eighth grade.
I don't know how I'm gonna extend it out to 50 but one thing he did say was some people have done good 30 page ones but even thats pretty hard and I don't like the stress of what if I write a bad 30 page thing
So what exactly is the rubric? Is the teacher concerned more with writing or ideas (I imagine both but eh thought Iād ask)
I am pretty sure he's ok with writing as long as its readable so no English major grade scale
So now you have to research the presidents and rank them, then just focus on how youāre going to organize it and write it.
But yeah he like historical accuracy and overall is pretty chill but still I feel this project is intimidating
I canāt believe your teacher is willing to do so much reading lol
Good luck
Yeah he does it in-between walking his dogs and eating chicken so he's a pretty cool guy
Those teachers are the best. The chill ones
