seinfeld

2021-02-20 04:20:24 UTC

I missed that episode.

2021-02-20 04:21:23 UTC

I didn't manage to watch a whole lot of Seinfeld, we always watched Simpsons, maybe some family guy in the later years (back when it was funny).

2021-02-20 04:21:55 UTC

it's gone downhill

2021-02-20 04:22:10 UTC

King of the Hill, which my mom hated, because it reminded her too much of George Bush.

2021-02-20 04:22:12 UTC

plus all the jokes are the same format so it gets old even in the same episode

2021-02-20 04:22:32 UTC

Yeah, true.

2021-02-20 04:24:15 UTC

Calafate, did you play Diablo II at all, did you find that enjoyable?

2021-02-20 04:26:52 UTC

nah I never played it.. was it good?

2021-02-20 04:26:58 UTC

I saw it was getting remastered

2021-02-20 04:36:03 UTC

they got got me good

2021-02-20 04:36:08 UTC

😔

2021-02-20 04:36:18 UTC

what a well written response to my argument

2021-02-20 04:38:30 UTC

(responding to Elcalafate) It was good. Reason for it, if you liked old Blizzard then there was a manga I was going to shoot you a link to. Good way to kill time.

2021-02-20 04:38:33 UTC

these people don't seem to like any good news

2021-02-20 04:38:50 UTC

always doom and gloom

2021-02-20 04:39:10 UTC

Well, I can't really comment on what you're saying, Butler, because I can't see any context for it.

2021-02-20 04:39:22 UTC

Like, I have no idea what the argument was about.

2021-02-20 04:39:41 UTC

the fact that we can look to the future for cures to diseases

2021-02-20 04:39:51 UTC

the entire thing couldn't fit my screenshot

2021-02-20 04:40:27 UTC

And what were they arguing? Like, that we wouldn't be able to cure diseases?

2021-02-20 04:40:44 UTC

that some diseases could never be cured and we should stop hoping for cures

2021-02-20 04:42:34 UTC

I can see a point to where they're coming from, but it's a facet of a wider argument.

Like, there will always be tragedy, I can see an argument for that. But why shouldn't we hope for cures to diseases? Well, I can only say that it seems like they've taken what I call "The Anti-human" approach.

2021-02-20 04:42:46 UTC

spot on bro

2021-02-20 04:46:54 UTC

People want to be objective about the experience of life, but you don't really get to be an objective observer on whether or not the human experience is good or bad. Because you're not detatched from it, you're not an observer. You're a participant.

So it largely depends on the approach you take to things. You can say "I am a human, and I believe that the human experience is good." And if you honestly believe that, then you will act as if that is the case. That's what I call the "Pro-human" argument that seems to be outlined in many religions like Christianity, Bhuddism, Zen, and others.

But then there's the argument that the Human Experience sucks, and that life is inherently unjust and not worth living. That's what many religions regard to as "Evil."

2021-02-20 04:49:46 UTC

And when people act that out, it's terrifying. Because cowards will act that out in a way that's not dangerous, but still destructive. They'll lie and be petty and try to bring everyone else down. Brave people will do horrific things like shoot up schools. People who are a combination of "Anti-human" "Brave" and "intelligent," that where it gets into manufacturing evil on a mass scale like China, Nazi Germany, and Soviet Russia.

2021-02-20 04:50:06 UTC

fully agree

2021-02-20 04:50:54 UTC

So yeah, I can see that they're not in a particularly good place at the moment.

2021-02-20 04:51:04 UTC

they're depressed and communist.

2021-02-20 04:51:19 UTC

not a good mixture

2021-02-20 04:51:24 UTC

Yeah, not good at all.

2021-02-20 04:53:04 UTC

But luckily, not everyone is like that. What are you up to for the night?

2021-02-20 04:53:43 UTC

just drawing some street fighter

2021-02-20 04:54:10 UTC

Nifty, you often post down in arts & crafts?

2021-02-20 04:54:15 UTC

2021-02-20 04:54:39 UTC

Sweet, looking forward to it, my dude. 😃
