yeah, but my wife's family have a special case. they lost a few relatives when escaping the communist uprising in southern china, and a few of the uncles were executed and tortured by the communists in Dalat during the revolution

well, to be fair, that's how they pronounce it in the SOUTH. ie. Saigon. Hanoi, ie. the government, pronounce it differently, because of dialects and accents
