Bruh
Much funny
Boogaloo Moment
Sees rainbow flag and BLM shirt...”far right...” suuuure buddy
far right is just a synonym for "Bad guy" or "Bully" at this point, just like "fascism"
the meaning of words is meaningless
this is nothign new, people have used fascist as an insult since as early as the 30's or even earlier
its why nobody fucking knows what fascism is
the modern left thinks fascism is just anything totalitarian or authoritarian at all
We probably know more about socialism than the socialists themselves
I really don’t care. Authoritarianism is the same no matter how you slice it
Well yes but actually no
its interesting to see how nat-soc, fascists and marxists all have the same view on "democracy" or "rule of the people", wich ends up being a total dictatorship
1984 Ingsoc type stuff
They want the illusion of democracy
People tend to want a strongman because they’re too scared to govern themselves
Its all socialised control of the economy
to be fair i think democracy is such an overrated emotion-backed stupidity...
Socrates was executed under a vote, and Hitler was elected with a vote too, is democracy really any good? Any minority can be killed under democracy if the majority simply wants to, i dont see whats so good about mob rule
They are all brand of socialism, and the plotting the facists on the opposite side of communists is the most evil way of manipulating the people's discussion of politics
well, in theory they all present this totalitarianism as the "rule of the people"; wether its fascism, marxism... total power of the state = total power of the people. The people are the state, something something.
It’s not. Democracy is the best way to oppress the minority under the guise of decency and fairness
Does democracy matter if there is we don't give it the power in the first place?
Or does it even need to exist in a completely free market society
Lol...the State is the State and the people just pick what “flavor” of the state they want
This is what I've believed for a while: authoritarianism is only good when you have a good leader and democracy is only good when people vote for the right stuff. There is a third way: meritocracy. That is the best way.
Meritocracy is dangerous
As much as I hate to say it I think a minarchy could be achievable.
meritocracy? whats that supposed to be? technocracy? well it ends up being as meaningless as "rule of the people" or "dictatorship of the proletariat"
The soviets had a technocracy. Franco's dictatorship had a technocracy in its last 2 decades.
power is not a means, but always an end. At least under monarchic-era rule the power was very limited and the government didnt reach so many facets of life, Private rights were respected and preserved for the most part
Yeah...the rights of the nobility maybe. The Magna Carta was written by rich people. Poor peasants had really no property rights. Everything belonged to the king. You couldn’t even hunt on the kings land
read hoppe
under democratic rule, there has been an unprecedented growth of tax, government spending, inflation, crime rates, illiteracy, etc
I’m not saying democracy is good
But neither is third positionism
It’s authoritarianism under a different label
oh god, you're not one of those guys that thinks a monarchy is just a dictatorship under a different name
implying that democracy cant be as authoritarian if not more
what is it, a 4 year dictator is ok because 51% of the population voted for a limited range of possibilities on the two-party system with full power ?
merit not technical expertise. Meritocracy and technocracy are not the same. If you could somehow write a perfect, highly specific constitution and make sure the leaders were educated in it and abided by it, or find some other way to determine a leader based on their morals, etc, that's different. Sort of like how China used to be ruled by the principles of confucianism, and the civil service exam ensured all bureaucrats were loyal.
