probably best thing for a beginniner in chess is to just memorize the openings

and from the points where openings start to deviate get to the positional theory

i just play bots until i feel good about myself

it does feel soul crushing to play against stock fish though

i sort if initially liked chess, when it was introduced to me, and thought i was big brained when i won against complete rookies

but yeah after playing with slightly more experienced players

lost interest, not that i was any good at it

i do like the fact that someting in your pocket can consistently crush a gm

they spent their entire learning chess and can be crushed by a program
