I watched a documentary about the Boer War and listened to a lecture on Greek civilization, and I find their lessons inspiring. What I found was that the Greeks as well as the Afrikaners were not forced to serve in their militaries, but they joined because they wanted to participate in defending their freedom. They faced the British and Persian empires with courageous resolve and dedication, and they would not be put down lightly. Boers were keen to defend their land and their rights from the British and kept winning against that great empire because they wanted to preserve their own homes. The Spartans did the same and defended their home from the Persians when they numbered only three hundred men. Slave armies don’t work well, and so we have the power to achieve victory against all of the inhuman armies of the world, including the one in Washington, New York, and Los Angeles. We have the spirit of freedom abiding with us. We fight for something way more than their lame fads. As Patrick Henry, Widukind, and the official slogan of Greece says, Freedom or death!
