slow the projectile \
slows*
also making it ICE pick thru soft targets removing that famous tumble
so if your shooting out of a shorter barrel less than 18
inchs
you aint doing shit
you aint peircing most metal surfaces
with sub standard commercial ammo
with the standard ak round
its going to make a mess no matter what it hits
when its comes to soft cover like a car door the size brings it thru even given its slower velocity
or a cinderblock wall
or in brush like a heavily forested area
where a small clutch of leaves can whip the faster but smaller 223 bullet taking it off its course
a basic marksmen can reach out to 300 easily witht he 762x39
throwing the whole "o aks r commie junk"
@Joe the boomer yeah but just from what I'm reading you seem to be putting way too much faith in it
where did i put unjust faith ?
Nothing wrong with an AK but they're much better weapons out there
and where did i say the ak was better than an ar
@Joe the boomer the M14 is a decent weapon I own a couple of them I own a couple AKs to own a couple ARs
answer my question
@Joe the boomer now it's just you keep going on about barrel length and while I agree with you a standard 20 inch barrel on an M16 will get you about the same performance at 300 yards as an AK
???????????
wft r u talking about
again
and where did i say the ak was better than an ar
and what weapons are objectivly better than an ak ?
and what makes them better or worse?
i never said an ak is better than an m14 or vice versa
@Joe the boomer okay objectively then and M14 EBR is much better than a standard production line AK-47
never said that
i said there are ups and down
i even poiinted out the ups of the 223
ammo being lighter
and ak ammo is lighter than the 308
iu can carry more of it and 30 round mags r harder to find for the m14s
@Joe the boomer yeah and most engagements happen between 400 m or less so in those circumstances and a k isn't going to be much better than an AR to begin with
chest rigs and mag pouches are also harder to find and more expensive
