a barrel length of 18 down from the orginal 20-22 inch barrel costs you a shit ton of armor peircing ability

also making it ICE pick thru soft targets removing that famous tumble
so if your shooting out of a shorter barrel less than 18
inchs
you aint doing shit
you aint peircing most metal surfaces
with sub standard commercial ammo
with the standard ak round
its going to make a mess no matter what it hits
or a cinderblock wall
or in brush like a heavily forested area
where a small clutch of leaves can whip the faster but smaller 223 bullet taking it off its course
a basic marksmen can reach out to 300 easily witht he 762x39

@Joe the boomer the M14 is a decent weapon I own a couple of them I own a couple AKs to own a couple ARs

@Joe the boomer now it's just you keep going on about barrel length and while I agree with you a standard 20 inch barrel on an M16 will get you about the same performance at 300 yards as an AK
