That's insane man the laws there are fucking crazy

It's not as bad as some people seem to think. You can get rifles, including AR-15s, here.

However, magazines are limited to 5 rounds for rifles and 10 rounds for pistols

yeah we got some crazy laws here in America to who that absolutely make no sense like if you've ever seen California's laws they're ridiculous they're written by somebody who has no clue about guns trying to fix a problem

Like the FAL is banned in Canada because it was the rifle of the Canadian military and the people that wrote the law basically found it to be something that civilians shouldn't have.
